GFB Pully kits

So its almost cambelt time for my wagon and I was thinking of putting on a set of those lightweight GFB Pully kits as GFB has a bit of a sale on at the mo, is anyone running these at all? You save around 2kg aparantly just by using the crank and alternator so its got be good for something, any input would be great!

ive ran a set of gfb pullys for a few years now, not much gain power wise but did notice it rev more freely

From 2 different dyno days with this as the only mod I changed I got an extra 6 kwatw iirc which was around 3% gain.

Do these have any adverse affects?

I have heard that they can make the car way more twitchy/jolty when driving on motorway, eg When you lift off the gas its much more noticeable than before. Never had them so would be interested if someone with them has noticed this?

Agree though that the same thing proably applies to the gfb wheels, it will be quicker to rev and just as quick to decelerrate as they is less inertia in the pulley (fly) wheel(s). i.e less to rev up or less to keep spinng once the gas is off.
