Anyone good with fiberglass??

So..

Need some help with repairing something fiberglass, is there anyone in Wellington that has the knowledge or could recommend someone that would do a nice job but on the cheaper side of life?

I have a front bumper made of fiberglass which needs a little bit of a fix ;D

I'm assuming a fibergalssing repair kit from ripco / supercheap would be the way to go??

sometime i hound found with those kits they dont supply enough fibre. but yeh they work primo

not sure if this helps but look into SUN CURE Polyester Resin as you dont have to mix that nasty stuff and it cures way faster with uv light if you are going to diy

True might look into it, not in a rush anyways so time is not an issue at this stage

Yeah his sub-box is somewhat comprised of fiberglass . There is another guy Jono (phat rs).

Yep I'll come check it out.. i've finished with my sub box now and still have some fibreglass and resin left over.

I fixed my factory front lip after I smashed it at Manfeild a couple of years ago. Fibre Glass isn't to bad to work with, for me it was alot of sanding but come out ok for a first timer. I'll did up some photos....

Is the bumper cracked or does it have holes that need filling in?

i figure because it sits low i probably should just do an okay job at repairing it myself and give it the old spray can gloss black finish because it is most likely just going to get damaged again sometime in the not so distance future
