alarm help???

my alarm in my car doesnt go and my remote is in working order ive checked the power and it seems fine,

ive gotta alarm system lying around and i was gonna transfer it over still using the same wires from the old system..is this a DIY job or professional electrician the way to go.

how much experience have you got with car electrical?

not too much but my brother is a electrician and knows abit about car electrical jus need some pointers on which wires go where.

right i would say leave it to someone that knows what they are doing or be prepaird to pay someone to come to yours to fix it alarms can be messy if you dint know what you are doing, but all in all said im an electrician and i did one when i was 16 with only knowing how to do car stereos i only didnt do the imobiliser but i only wanted the remote locking lol, are the lables on the new alarm still? if not could be rather difficult to hook up,

would pay some one to do it, i have done a few now, and theres a bit of work in them if you dont know what your doing.

me and my brother hooked up the new system we have the siren, receiver the blinking light thing and a door sensor all running but need to find central locking i know these cars never came with an actuator but it had an alarm previously so im guessing it has one hooked up..any ideas?
