  2. 99% of dyno operators have a frankly bewildering disclaimer that basically says they could pull the head off your motor and squeeze out a giant f***ing turd inside your block and it wouldn't be their fault. For a fairly expensive "premium" service they somehow get away with murder, imagine if you took your car to a panelbeater and their disclaimer was like "we may completely ruin your paint and dent all of your panels". Although on the other hand, there's probably too much risk of shed-built piles of s*** exploding and then being blamed on the tuner.

  3. Highly support that recommendation @Andy_Mac Seriously though, I have a fully built 2.5L block for sale that would drop in. Let me know if you're interested.

  4. You have to either bake your assy in the oven or use a heat gun to help get the lens off. It depends on what you want to do, you could try either opening it up and adding extra sealant, maybe using soapy water and blowing compressed air to find the leak or using water with uv dye and trying to. Find the leak that way. Those are all time consuming methods though and I personally like drilling a tiny hole at a low point and considering it done

  5. Assume they're claiming they had nothing to do with the outcome?

  6. Yep, went right around the holes and a solid line fo sealer right around. Confident it will be fine. Cheers

  7. I am one of the photographers that gets to cover the Targa NZ event, I managed to get this one on a closed road while I was heading back to load all the aerial kit into the car.

  8. Spark plugs, air filter, oil change, transmission/diff fluid change. Radiator flush and new fluid, new thermostat, new water pump, new belts. The service above if you go to a mechanic is in the ballpark of $1500-2000 if you’re changing belts you may as well get a light weight pulley to help freshen up the feel of the motor, pretty cheap. In the engine bay but not engine related really: new clutch fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, new engine mounts, new trans mount and then call it a day. Other than that you are pulling the motor out and changing gaskets and bearings - which isn’t needed unless you have a leak or knocking etc. If you have a mechanical issue then you’re going to need to strip the motor, check the crank, pistons etc etc - best case no damage and you clean it up, replace bearings, install new gaskets job done. Worst case you have a bent rod. New rods, maybe new crank - you get the idea $$$$

  9. Good luck trying to get all the required info out of them to take it anywhere unless everything from engine build to fitment of all parts and tune was done by them. They'll always find a way to blame some part they didn't have anything to do with fitting or recommending
