  1. from snz https://www.subaru.co.nz/promotions/legacy-sti-experience it's largely $5k of sti performance cosmetic bits 'n pieces. one item that stands out as a potential cause of your bounciness is the "STI embossed supersized 19" alloy wheels and Yokohama tyres". the snz photo shows a Yoko BluEarth A. this is a crappy eco tyre, it has no place on a sporty car ! check the tyre pressures, wheel alignment. gut feeling is poor tyre choice. it's a shame to see the RS and STI badges used this way
  2. friends have had the escort hidden units. neat, discreet installs but performance suffers. not great value. the only hidden unit that really performs is the stinger, about $8k nzd ? http://www.stinger.co.nz/
  3. there may be some low mileage r3s on the market soon.... πŸ˜‰
  4. in terms of outright handling, mx5 walks all over any wrx/sti. checkout lists of best handling cars and you'll find them full of 2wd cars like the mx5, or even fwd ! πŸ˜„
  5. i lolz at all the mentions of zee french oils. 😁
  6. for a few years i was using the valentine one + bt module + yav1 phone app. it performed well but was getting to be a pain in the ass to use. last year i switched to the uniden r3. it is a superb performer, that's also easy to setup and use. currently the best windscreen mount detector sold in nz, with maybe the radenso pro m. a big bonus is that uniden have finally made software updates readily available to users. as mentioned above, the uniden r7 will be out in april. big bonus is valentine style arrows updated for the 21st century. it will be more expensive than the r3 (currently $899nzd/399usd), us rrp will be $599. nz ??? lots of good info at vortex radar https://www.vortexradar.com/ https://www.youtube.com/user/TravelCam1111
  7. what is said creation ? it doesn't sound like a stock avenger ...
  8. 95svx; didn't see you ! next year pix not working
  9. ^ would someone please translate the above ?
  10. good work, did you solve the tablet power problem ? reminds me of
  11. it was so compact, made my car look like a fatty
  12. anyone make it ? didn't see any svx. i was parked under a tree. ps... why is this in the wellington section ? shannon is closer to palmy
  13. wheels are too wide guards should be approximately the same. looks like a spacer on one side ? bad past repair ?
  14. agreed ! it has to be original and with lowish km to be worth big bucks. buy a car to drive, buy it as an investment and you'll probably get burnt.
  15. road recaros like grb and cs etc are ok for road use but on track they don't hold you well. go for a fixed back seat like the above racetechs or sabelt, sparco etc. new if you can afford it. buying used can bring big savings but can also be like buying a used helmet. caveat emptor.
  16. according to http://www.pauldyson.net/spec_c.html the wr was not limited in numbers but by the sales period, from july 2004 to September 2004.
  17. anything's possible. dealer might have gotten a bulk deal on the sonys making them more cost effective to fit than adding band expanders and what not.
  18. was your sti juc or nz new ? pretty sure subaru never factory fitted sony audio. fujitsu-ten is the long term jdm supplier for subaru nz cars got locally fitted alpine setups.
