  1. Space them out of the flow slightly. Or turn the cat efficiency code off. You need to have the rear sensor in or the fueling goes all up the creak. And I dont believe it can be tuned out either.
  2. Also, 32 bit ecu uses rear 02 sensors to correct fueling trims, stick em back in should fix it
  3. Nz market have oil burn issues, (same motor as the USA, and a class action has been upheld against soa because of it) Jdm 2Lt have issues with piston rings, they arent up to the task. Resulting blowby carbons up the bigend bearing seats and they spin. Blowby carbon build up to the point of a 500km oil change looking like the 10,000km changes I did in my old skyline with borked rings. When my grb was rebuilt, Subaru Japan, as well as cometic and a few other major manufacturers had run out of head gaskets. World wide. Subtech had done 10 grb rebuilds in the month previous to mine letting go, and are still pretty flat out. They generally let go between 120-150k, even with an immaculate service history
  4. Rev d should all have direct line... And if it does have direct line, its probably the best spot to tee a gauge in to. Because all the other pressure / vac lines have sensitive stuff plugged into the other end of it
  5. that v8 has been boy racered up though. upgraded clutch and flywheel turbo back exhaust bov pod filter doof doof and dark tints. i'll put money on it running rich a.f. and slower than a stock v8 sti because of those mods. @94 Leone recently purchased a v8 sti, payed similar price for it iirc. the gauge pod is actually a tickbox option as well, and worth over a grand if everything works too
  6. i wouldnt touch that v8 sti, "upgraded" heavy duty clutch, no deal. having had a v11 (new shape) i'd much rather take a v8/9/10 due to the v11 issues. i'd take the v9 from the above offers, better interior, 5x114 hubs, dccd and strong motor, plus they look cool. ymmv
  7. oh my gracious it looks good, will upload pics when its all finished. Differences: All the plastics Handbrake Handbrake position Stereo surround support bracket Vents Stereo surround Ashtray / lighter socket cubby A/c controls Stereo mounting plates Shifter surround.... Bit of a big job but its all but done now, just got to grab the stereo support brackets (tomorrows job) and chase out why my cig socket isnt working anymore. Also put my recaros in, christ what a mission. Need to get dehumidifier into the car, they been living in the garage too long, got a bit damp. Still gotta get a new up pipe gasket too. Getting there... Everything I touch seems to open a can of worms LOL
  8. Lifting an outback can use the strut top spacers to lift. No cert needed. The "body lift" referred to applies to lifting the body above a ladder chassis (think hilux, landcruiser, safari etc) Lifting using the springs and strut tops is fine as you are not lifting the body off the frame. You will need a damn good alignment, but if you were to put in any adjustible control arms then yku will need to cert
  9. Went into zebra. Found a hawkeye that had a punt up the arse. Flogged the center console, Ac controls, all the plastics. Turns out you need the stereo reinfircing bar and the handbrake mech as well. Back to grab that tomorrow. Was going to grab the rear boot linings, as they are a gorgeous black, but they were too far gone from the crash. So I flogged some out of a v8 1.5I wagon. Got a spare clear indicator, so now I has clears both sides. Came home, tore my car apart, got the v8 linings into the boot, but they could do with a vacuum. Got most of the center console swap done, as it was an auto means some hacking is required to make it all fit. But this should look mint when its done
  10. I think so, not entirely sure.
  11. Yeah left/right, should be bloody close to identical My old 3.0r had a very slow #2 sensor till it got HOT
  12. Given the age and lack of safety in the venger shouldnt it be up around the price of a bike? You know, given the whole increased risk of permanently debilitating injury in a minor crash...
  13. Chat to dealer be your best bet
  14. now costs me the same to register the bike for 2 months as it does the car for a year.
  15. Put the plastic under tray in. No seriously. It creates a low pressure zone by the gearbox, effectively sucking air through rad and engine bay. Back to back coolant temp and iat monitoring confirms drop in temps
  16. Sounds like it, yep No jokes about the trying to stay afloat though, smart ass :-P
  17. There was a lot done yesterday, basically sump and up pipe hole fix was Saturday then finding all the leaks was today. It drives a lot better now though
  18. Well, more this weekend, but: Removed sump. Installed pbms baffled sump. Hooked up a smoke tester Removed, repaired and reinstalled up pipe (jeeeesus what a prick of a job) Drove it, it made a horrible whistle on boost Found leaky downpipe, fixed that too. Found icv gasket blown out, fixed that too. Tightened up all intake clamps, no leaks, mean. Got under the car, found leaking gasket between header and up pipe, fixed that, took it for a test drive Hoooooooly craaaaaap, what a different car. So much more responsive, it sounds better, drives better, very happy Fueling is up the creak because of the leaks in the up pipe, hope to get that sorted this week. Things left to sort.... Cambelt Brake caliper Brake pads Brake rotors Front sway bar Alignment Track time
  19. yep thats the one. dont use the up pipe. with the genome its really nice. quiet and no drone for long distance stuff and rowdy a.f. when you get your foot up it
  20. Redline, best bang for buck. Fit is a right prick. But for $500 for a full 3 inch turbo back.... I have one, v-banded genome tip to shut it up a bit, because OGOD they are loud
  21. oh, I am, I'm just curious about others tuners processes
  22. @AdamOst anti lift kiiiiiit ;-) Tuner is happy with the car, told to run it for 200mi and relog, to see what the self learning has adjusted. I guess you get what you pay for *shrugs* I know what I need to be doing, remote tunes. Good way to make a couple of bux.
  23. Cobb no go No support for jdm. As mentioned, prova do, but language barrier. Tactrix and opensource ftw. Best tuner if you are willing to pay for it would be dtech in tauranga, their reflashes are phenominal.
