  1. you went throught 3 brand new afm\'s . holy s*** ! that some bad luck! so the 4th afm had no problem after changing the air filter to a non oiled. am I the only one that finds this to be impossible
  2. wow. so just to put it out there were they 2nd hand afm\'s ?
  3. because the internet says so? Its bollocks fella weres is your proof of this other than you saing you went through how ever many afms. of which I bet they were seccond hand?
  4. no way that dosent sugest anything like that dont get caught up on a myth
  5. and the sensors are pretty reasonable . if you have a link i reckon its a no brainer. no worrying if your stuck in the wapps with only 91
  6. rule of thumb from what i know is you want 10 psi per 1000 rpm. when at running temp
  7. k&n oiled all the way . clean re-oil and away ya go. im pretty sure a $20 ripco filer is more likely to let crap through. and the purpose of the oil is to trap dirt no? you shoulda seen the crap that got past the factory paper one on my mazda that was a bit scary
  8. im doing this bloody good idea . i think the new bmw\'s run the same system
  9. big thanks to thorpy as i would have ordered the incorrect valves
  10. thanks for getting back to me . ill be in touch if i have no luck with the other emails ive sent out
  11. I just tapped mine out with a 1/8th npt tap. the tap would be cheaper then a adapter I would think
  12. looking to get a set of oversized valves for my build . want to change out the sodium filled ones. my supplier cant get v3/4 ones eaisly , ive sent a coupple of emails away but thought id check on here. supertech part numbers SEVI-1014 Inconel (exhaust valves 1mm oversized) SIVN-1014 (intake valves 1mm oversized)
  13. get v3/4 head gaskets, there\'s calculators on google but you want gaskets that go with heads. been done by many people including myself v3/4 heads have a volume of 46cc but youll have to measure the block you have to get the other info if you want to calculate it
  14. there commonly half a tooth out on the top left gear (i think) haven\'t done one in a while . if its more then half out its incorrect . but once installed , pin pulled and engine rotated a few times they tend to come closer. even more common when putting v7 heads onto closed deck blocks and shiizz like that because of deck , head specs and gasket used
  15. I like stance and some camber but for f@#ks sake
  16. armstrongs would be my first place to ask. even if you ring the chch branch leighton is a good basterd and if you mention clubsub he may sort you out . if there to expensive then go somewhere else but if you can stretch the $$$
  17. bnt do the copies unsure of cost but deff cheaper than genuine. tbh id stick with genuine , ive had 2 sets of cometic ones fail on me in around the last year (the rivets that hold the layers together would foul also : ) but if being used on a standard car then you shouldn\'t have issues with whatever you use i would think
  18. i wouldn\'t be using them. i treat any headgasket as a 1 time use item weather it leaks or not
  19. I was thinking of doing it a while ago makeine a high reving short stroke suby. similar to the swifts.... being under 1800cc you dont need a rectrictor for rally ect
  20. oh dear they will probably need to be cleaned up and pressed out then . sounds like previous owner had a good go also
