Talon Triangle tyres are absolute crap. Had them on my ute and it just wanted to skid off the road all the time. Upgraded to Neuton NT5000 which aren't super flash tyres either, but absolute miles better then the Triangles. So chances are having crap tyres on front + alright ones on the back = understeer.
Yup, there not too expensive either. R154 supra GB's are better but cost 3 times as much.
My factory hilux GB is lasting pretty well too really. Lol the diffs last ages yea but they're a LSD that may aswell been an open dif which sux.
Is it really a good conversion ???
They replaced a WRX engine with a V8, it might sound slightly better (each to there own) but it's a fair bit slower, slightly heavier, uses more gas and would of cost more then replacing it with another wrx engine lol.
Mind you they seem to be a bit more reliable. haha
+1 for the HKS Silent Hi Power. Mine's 3" from turbo back and it's still nice and quiet just cruising around. WOT it starts to come alive.
Use to have an RPS system, was probably the best sounding exhaust if you really like the Subaru rumble but it was ridiculously loud, hence why I switched to HKS.
Been driving a Aurion a bit lately and was surprised at how much get up and go they have, would probably give a 6cyl falcon/commy a run for its money. FYI the Camry of the same year is essentially the same car with a smaller motor that uses the same amount of fuel. If they weren't so dam ugly it would be all good haha.
Bends? It should be wires not pipe I would have thought.
Is it running off a Narrow band o2 Sensor? New gauge won't do jack shit then. You need a Wide band sensor ideally.
Took the Ute in for a WOF. Failed. Didn't know you could fail on a small stone chip if it's in your line of sight of the road, tbh didn't even notice there was even a chip there lol. Ah well new Windscreen time I guess.
As for the car, gave it a look over (fluids, tyres etc) ready for my trip down to Palmy tomorrow arvo/night.
It will have a Pressure Sender for the Oil Pressure Gauge, which replaced the Oil Pressure Switch.
Car once had Lamco Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and Voltage Gauges.
