S*** happens. Ride along with progress or get left behind basically. There's F*** all we can do about it. It's just how the global car industry is going.
Dual mass flywheel? Not many places can machine them as they need disassembly. DMFs are normally goosed by the time the clutch is worn too, and need replacement. Usually way cheaper to get a DMF solid replacement kit.
I'm not aware of NZ new having security codes on radios. Maybe have CAN communication with BCM?
Where are you? I've not long had the factory radio out of the Mrs BM9 if you want to try that?
Or order a waterpump kit locally. Pump, gasket, thermostat and o-ring for NZ $99 plus gst.....
Hitting start/stop button while in neutral will shut off engine but leave accessory on.
And always track km per litre, not km per dollar. The price changes and F***s with your stats.
My 3.0R manual sedan will do 600 to 750k per 64L tank, depending on the right boot.
Not in things that early. If anything it will be the Pxxxx equivalent of our mate code 66.
From memory, overboost on the primary turbo stems from carboned up restrictor pills.
Replaced the clutch on my BL 3.0R. AFAIK it was the original clutch, done 243k. Now features a V11 STi clutch that's done a season of track racing, but looked near mint and only cost me a box. For that price I'll take the risk! Didn't even machine the flywheel because no places were open. It drives mint, bites well with no shudder! Oh and a temporary permanent fix for the sloppy shifter bushes with electrical tape.......
