i regret selling the V7, took about 3 GRB hatch's for test drive and man they dont feel quick at all, well not like the V7, doesnt throw you back into the seat and just dunno doesnt feel the same, handles way better though real solid steering which is nice

my subaru legacy popped the bottom end at only 98000km, it was due to silly driving on my part but wouldnt have thought it would have given up that easily and car had been serviced and looked after, at that point it was easier to replace with a second hand engine for $800 bux than doing a rebuild for 6k, in hindsight i installed a V7 STI motor and had way more fun

yeah they are the 2.5 jdm auto ones... i wonder if i should just save and buy a 2010 model instead of the 2007/08/09 ones, even though some of them look so good and priced well

@Kiwi_Fozze does this issue affect the A-line models as well that came out?

I bought the wifey a ute the triton and got the (bling wheels put on lol as an option) manual great ute to drive for 30k couldnt go wrong brand new with 5 year warranty and pulls on 6th gear as well, does feel sluggish though on low rev but fine for what we needed...we test drove a few of the trucks as well, the Navara was nice as well to drive probably the most comfortable out of them all to be frank, the hilux ride was hard/solid...the Ranger was good as well but for the money you can get the Navara which was nicer inside as well...The Colorado for some reason we missed out on lol we heard it was quite plasticy inside so didn't bother but i think we may have missed out...

When my centre diff went in my evo i had the exact same feel as you are describing in your car, but mine eventually broke down while driving and had to get it towed to get it sorted

damn thats pretty good for stock, i only managed to get 167kw at the wheels standard, that i guess sounds about right for hub dyno than, after exhaust, intake, fuel pump and tune i managed 220kw...shows the motor is fresh and still got life in it...

damn! i sold a brand new xforce one on TM not so long ago for $150bux and no body wanted to buy it for months lol...that thing looks rusty and old... it does look like it will fit the V7 pipe looks about the same as the one i sold.

you can get a road tune for cheaper, i got my road tune done for $300 but thats in akld, the guy is on here he goes by the name of pappu who has tuned alot of subarus and he knows his stuff, pbms do a dyno run for $147 i believe and they give you a print out of everything which is good to have, thats if you are in akld though...

@Niran noooooo dont do it are you over the subi already bro haha....i am in the same boat now, need to sell the STI to buy a wagon can't fit the car seat in the back properly and nothing in the boot really hard decision though to let go

oh how we dream to ever be able to own one of these, i remember one of these had come of for sale years ago and the owner wanted around 56K should have invested back than would have made a killing profit on it now

@walshmaine there is also a dude who goes by the name An Lal on the subaru facebook page give him a PM not sure if he is floating on here now or not, but he is a good tuner but road tunes that is, he will possibly be able to check your tune out without making any changes and tell you if you are running rich/lean...only downside of it is, that you are on the roads unless you know of some back roads that is safe..

Its a shame that the subi page has some real dodgy people on it just out there to rip ppl off, hope you get it sorted @Leufkax

Is this something that i can replace myself @boon and is it quite easy to get to?

Hi Guys, I have noticed everytime i have a full tank of gas i can smell petrol next to the car when i have parked up, and once i am below quarter of the fuel than the smell doesn't linger around anymore. It is quite a strong smell and i haven't noticed any leaks and i haven't spilled fuel out as well so not sure where and why the smell is coming through? it is also only around the tank no smell around the rest of the car or under the hood...

I need a bigger car now @Batbaruman the baby seat isn't working too well in the sedan and the stroller doesn't fit in the boot lol...but i am trying to hold on to it as long as i can haha

Mine is exactly the same but done 107km NZ New, i have done a few mods to it and tuned as well, but have all the standard parts available as well to go with the car if you are wanting a standard car, i may be selling it in the next few weeks once i can get myself sorted to do it...

You can get the pads/rotors from BNT but they are aftermarket ones, you can get genuine ones from subaru but you pay a lot for them

@Batbaruman do you know the dude who owns the subaru with the personalised plate AKSHAY?! he wanted to line me up on tiirangi drive the other day and when i didnt bother he boosted off...

they are both 225/45 except one is 18s and one is on 17s, the 18s are stretched on

interesting read as well, i do notice in the wet on my standard 17s if i boot of the line the car steps out on boost on 1st and 2nd but with the 18s i don't have any problems with traction at all, the 17s have RE0020s on them so they are decent tires as well, but it could have to do with other factors as well i guess....

whoa @Batbaruman how the heck did you manage that deal with AA man ?! I am with them and they are shafting me with a rod no under 25 drivers, clean license, all mods declared, and made it $1000 access to bring the premiums down and still paying $1100 for 12months and that is with no extras at all full cover...

I have the redline kit and didnt have any major issues with fitment, from that pic it looks pretty bad..maybe give them a call and ask them about the fitment? they are pretty clear though about saying like get a exhaust pro to fit it as "some adjustments may" be required...
