  1. i know you know what you mean, but that statement using those terms is over simplified and inaccurate frequency is a complete oscillation over time, the waveform can be anything, not just a \'digital\' square wave. an analogue voltage can also represent a digital state. anyway, locking this thread down, OP is clearly more interested in making fun of users than listening to helpful advice
  2. the factory subaru MAP sensor is 5V \'voltage\' type. for your \'98 WRX it should be part number 22012-AA090 the factory ecu is expecting particular sensors, this goes for AFM, MAP, TPS etc. you can\'t just swap in any old thing. some helpful advice, forget about the fuel cut defeater unless you know exactly what you are doing
  3. latest question moved to new thread http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,38742.0.html
  4. what a waste of time. ask them to talk to subaru
  5. there should be metal fixing plates behind the plastic holes in the bumper. the bulbs have a plastic surround that screw into this. kinda like car speakers. the covers attach to the same point, but are extended by some simple metal brackets. 3 fixings per side. you might have to make these up, someone may be able to measure them for you to get the correct mounting distance http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Subaru-Impreza-WRX-GC8-STI-Spot-Light-Covers-Damaged-1997-1998-/271160073000? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IMPREZA-Fog-Lamp-Cover-BRACKETS-Stainless-Steel-92-98-/190336257056
  6. yep, nice example of a V2 STI looks like the later C2 model unless its been painted its just missing the fog light covers, which adds another point to the accident theory. personally, i would fit a working factory blow off valve and spend a day pulling the intercooler fins straight. 1 yep 2 not really important. could have been pinched and replaced 3 silver = sti. also has alloy & blue silicone pipe between turbo/intercooler 4 just like that.
  7. hahahaha cheers for the brochures soba
  8. truth. i have to rev-match a lazy upshift

  10. i gave him a flex plate and some bolts, i suppose he\'ll want the toothed flywheel if thats no good
  11. personally.. i would jam the wastegate closed and see what the the turbo spool was like in free-boost conditions... carefully! lol if holding the gate closed during spool helped substantially then find an EBC
  12. had time this evening to clean and reassemble the dccd. dccd porn! look! you can see her coil
  13. yeah, and what kind of boost control are you using?
  14. what stage are you at now?

  17. translation? [quote name='funkytown said: Nick... that brace is for the later model mcpherson rear end. Not sure if factored into your thinking. Afaik there are those braces for this type rear end arrangemeng ah.... the new stuff. i didn\'t see that mentioned in OPs post. runsaway!
  18. i do have these parts if you want to do it this way. i\'m aiming to be at the friday meet if thats not too late
  19. should be the rear side. the front side of the rear-crossmember will be close to the fueltank K brace only fits to the rear of the front-crossmember, as will that part. the illustration you have is not suby.
  20. your one looks to have more \'kink\' than the usual front brace. maybe it is for the rear after all?
  21. from your link, looks like half of a \'K\' brace it bolts to the front subframe
