1. I have v6 sti springs in my wagon, work fine but may not be low enough for what you're after. Springs are interchangable between wrx/sti and sedan/wagon universally as far as I've read / been told. I would not recommend super lows; my car came with them and it was awful. Lows may be alright however.
2.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Boats-marine/Jetskis/Seadoo/auction-263581910.htm
3. Car: V3 WRX Wagon Suspension: Standard WRX struts with v6 STi Springs Mags: SSR Integral A2 wheels diamater: 16" Wheels width: 7" Offset: +38 (36? Something very close to that) Tyres spec: 205/50/16 Bridgestone did you have to roll the gaurds?: No. But when the car had superlows (came that way) it rubbed like a mo'fo'ing bitch with more than two people in the car when I swapped to these rims from the factory mags it had on there (6" wide I believe)
4. Supercheap auto sell a 'kit' of some description to do it, no personal experience using it however.
5. Yeah I have a 50 and I'm moving soon...this is going to be a pain.
6. Nope, got every episode from season 1 up to the last episode of season 14 that aired in england last Sunday. Guess I have a bunch of them in better quality then, there were new versions of the older eps released at some point with better source and encode
7. lol sounds like you're missing quite a bit there
8. I have a GFB mach 1. Set to plumbback but still makes quite a decent noise
9. Is there a rattling sound? Mine did something very similar to this and it was just that the bolt and nut combo that hold the 'stick' part to the 'lever' part were loose. Might want to check that first (if you haven't already)
10. The ecu's memory is being reset, so it doesn't know that there's a problem anymore, and then eventually it works it out and bumps you back into safe mode
11. Yeah figured as much and just went ahead with it as nobody had replied nothing leaked out of the hole when I bled the calipers and I didn't end up in a wall on test drive so I assumed it was all good ;D. Cheers though
12. I had an identical experience, going 47km/h got pinged for 63. Damned cowboys. Or girls in this case. (Except without the getting 'let off' part)
13. Hey all, so I've gotten a set of sti 4-pots from what I assume is a v1 or v2 sti. Just wondering regarding the lines, on the sti lines there is a little clip thing that goes into a hole as part of the bit that bolts up to the caliper. The wrx ones don't have this. Am I right in assuming that that is just something to hold it there to make life easier or some such and I should ignore it? Or do I have to swap the lines...
14. Do any of you with club auto have an electronic version of the clubauto policy for the rest of us to peruse? ;D
15. Slightly incorrect if you are in the age bracket 18 to 28: Run 2,4Km inside 10:50, 150 curl ups, 30 press ups (to the correct technique)... And yes I spent the better part of mu adult life in the military, and also as an instructor at The Army Training Group (ATG)... Should tell the army website people they've got it wrong then ;D Although I was referring to 'entry' fitness level as opposed to 'required' as I felt it more relevant to someone looking at applying
16. Ok so some actual info time. Here is a link to the Police's speed enforcement guide. Note how they are GUIDELINES only, not hard and fast rules. If the demerits are truly going to screw you over, how much longer do you have to wait until your oldest ones expire? Because the demerit points only accrue onto your licence when you pay the fine, you can stretch this out over a while if neccessary. Here's how: 1. Police will mail you an infringement notice. You have '28 days' to respond. 2. 28 days expire, police will send you a 'reminder notice' with another '28 days' to respond. 3. On the 27th day of the reminder notice, send them a letter explaining the circumstances in an attempt to try to get them to drop it. They probably won't, but as long as you've chucked said letter in the mail before the 28th day, you have extended the time some more. Plus you've made them work for your money, yay. 4. They'll send you back a 'no, stuff off." letter most likely, but this will take around a week, during which time you still don't have to pay the fine. With said letter will come another reminder notice, with another 10-20 days to pay attached. 5. At this point you can either: 5a. Pay the fine on the last day and the demerits will be accrued onto your licence at that point. If you don't pay the fine after this they can impound your car etc so yeah or 5b. The day before your time runs out, send them a letter requesting a hearing in respect of said offence. They legally have to give you one, and you gain more time while that is organised and carried out. So yeah. You can stretch it out by like 3-5 months if needed...the worst that can happen is that you lose in court and have to pay another $30 on top of the fine or whatever. The best that can happen is you get off scot free. THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR ADVICE FROM A LAWYER. ;D
17. The set I have are from a v1/v2 so only have the single pot rears so not applicable in my case, but good to know regardless
18. Army requirements for entry, for a guy: Run 2.4km in 12 minutes, be able to do 45 curl ups (basically a crunch) and 15 press ups The police iiirc is significantly less rigorous than this, which is relatively low anyway if you are in any way physically active (or have a month or so to get into shape)
19. just remember to let people know when you get it back? ;D ;D
