  1. Over the last few days I have replaced rear rotors and pads, replaced front rotors and fitted a rear strut brace. Oil change tomorrow night and then off to Fielding Friday for the DOBC trackday on Saturday.
  2. Thanks, Cars away and I need to order some new Rotors for next weekend.
  3. Lol... Attack, attack, attack... BTW wana help me with some info?
  4. I can say from real experience there was bugger all (no?) difference between VF22 and VF23 on the same setup, there was about a 1kw difference so probably within margin of error tbh. The 22 stays on boost better however and feels less responsive around town. The car feels slower in the real world but lap times disagree. I have enjoyed my VF22, but I am quite excited to go bigger now. I am just wondering where it ends
  5. Repco and Supercheap have them, cheap and easy to fit.
  6. I will be using Dtech when I retune next year, amazing reputation in in the Waikato/Central North Island area. Also one of the staff there is a member on here, has been for years.
  7. My speedo is out on my v5, was approx 10% higher on stock rims 110kmh was almost bang on 100kmh according to GPS. Not a clue what it is now, I just let people pass me lol.
  8. Honestly dont know mate, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to tyre sizing and repucussions of it. But the set I am looking at have 48 ET stamped into the inside. On the inside of your rims it should have size 17x7 in one area and then an ETA stamped in another area. Mine is on the inside of a spoke on the rims I am looking at and on the inside lip of my 17x8s.
  9. I'm not going to be much help, I have a set of 17x7 rims here that are +48 ET and that fits over 4 pots with some decent space to spare. Does anyone near you have 4 pots you could test fit over?
  10. Its a standalone pump between two regular pumps, the entire pump and both hand pieces say E85. I would be pretty upset if one side was only E10 and not marked. I will have another look tomorrow when I fill up.
  11. Um quite strange, its one of those old style two sided pumps, both are lbaeled as Gull Force Pro E85. One side says $2.879 per litre other side says $2.189... Thats at Gull self serve on Ohaupo road Hamilton.
  12. Not off the top of my head. I will have a look tomorrow and let you know.
  13. Ok cool. Sounds like a lot of positive for no real negatives beside needing more fuel flow. Having an E85 pump 3 blocks away has me thinking this is a good idea while still allowing me to use the car for decent roadtrips on 98.
  14. So breaking this down into little not super smart pieces for me, if I ran a fuel sensor my tuner can tune it to run anything from E85 to good old fashioned 98 and the car will just adjust the tune on the fly to account for the mix of fuel the engine is receiving? Even if I have say half a tank of E85 and top it off with 98? And its as simple as put sensor in fuel line, hook up electrical side and send off to tuner? Or should I talk to my tuner to see if there experienced with it?
  15. Normally I get a letter from NZpost within 3-4 working days asking if I want to use there services as a customs agent. I pay and from there its on my doorstep within 24 hours. That importing from Aus though.
  16. With enough time and privacy someone who really wants your car will take it. However the more you can do to slow them down the better. A simple kill switch in an out of the way place might help slow down anyone who gets in. Steering lock is a good idea also IMO, anything you can do to slow them down. A GPS tracker is also worth a look as there quite cheap nowadays.
  17. Not a Foz guy but when I was looking at buying one a little while back the Foz engine seemed to be comparable to the WRX of the same year. Might be a good place to start looking for specific specs. I think they get the hypereutectic pistons around the era but don't quote me. Its the actual name for what people call "Semi forged".
  18. Far out people leave some filthy **** in cars
  19. Coins, lolly wrappers and a bag of pills once. That was a tad off putting. My sisters ex brought a Falcon as a parts car once and it has almost $400 in coins and notes under the seats and carpet when we stripped it. Drunken taxi change I guess.
  20. Alrighty sounds like a wheelbearing then, thanks to you both Gents. Never done one of those. Is it fairly simple?
  21. Ah bugger. Will wheel bearing noise be there sometimes and not others and go away under braking? It definitely disappears under braking in all situations.
  22. Whats the best way to tell if my Brake rotor is warped? I have a small squeak/whine on the right front and I think its warped as theres some uneven wear. But to the naked eye it looks ok.
