  1. tradezone may have one in stock, not a common size( that being M12x1.75) so finding one in stock maybe an issue
  2. yup genuine cover gaskets AND bolt gaskets the non genuine ones are cheaper BUT when compared to genuine you can see why ( 1/2 as thick)
  3. Is that the one you can hook up with the torque app? What sort of data do you get from it? I have the Torque app and a bluetooth OBD11 plug, Have not used it on a subaru but on the few hiace vans and a sprinter I have used it on pretty much any info you want/need is available. if it has a sensor for it then it should be able to read the data, on my driving screen I usually have boost, common rail pressure, speed ( gps and speed sensor) intake air temp, oil temp, oil pressure and water temp,
  4. Dont fit these to an already stuffed bush, Do it properly which means replacing the bush, then fit these to stiffen it all up
  5. You can get heavier duty ones ( I have them at work for when I am doing the real dirty jobs) Also we have them as our barrier gloves in our rescue gear as they rip less easy which while cutting people out of cars is a must
  6. any "smartphone" with google maps installed, even if you go onto trademe and buy a half decent android device and run it with no sim, as long as you do your NAV search within wifi it should download the required maps( only downside really of them as they prefer a data connection) Actually go buy this Garmin Asus A10, I have one of these as my back up phone it has NZ maps installed and is one of the best nav devices I have ever used, does not need a data connection BUT with one makes it even better http://www.trademe.co.nz/mobile-phones/mobile-phones/other/auction-660780744.htm
  7. yup any old rag will do, cotton is always better. How deep are the scratches, I would hazard a guess that a previous owner has "had a go" at polishing the lens\'s using to course a sand paper, U may find that replacement headlights are the go
  8. have no idea may have a look when I am home tonight
  9. Not sure how you have got to this conclusion, my Leone is less power steering and I dont have to turn it 100 times to go around any corner
  10. Illegal in a road car ( unless it is specifically modified as a disabled vehicle)
  11. U may have to actually source a non powering steering steering rack, May find that the internals of the rack are lubricated by the oil, no oil = no lubrication=seize = bang crash and here in lies your issue, as I have never seen an Impreza without powersteering it may be difficult to source one, My leone is non from factory but not sure if the rack would fit the impreza
  12. Fit wheel nut to stud(if wanting to reuse) hit stud with a hammer( large one better ) should pop out with one "tap"
  13. Makes no real difference, more important is process of bleeding than where you start and finish
  14. Reuben lives in Queenstown and he runs winter tires every winter and swears by them. only thing to watch is that they have a legal depth of 4mm not the usual 1.5
  15. Take it back to the dealer, tell him to shove it up his arse, take the refund and go shopping somewhere else, u will find what you want else where. I can bet that the dealer knew it was not right but sold it anyways, what else is wrong with the car that he has hidden
  16. On my list of wants also on list Exhaust Chip Carbon fibre wrap decent off road tires winch dual batterys so a fair bit
  17. Sounds to me like it is a transponder key $180 seems a bit steep even for a transponder key, BUT saying that if you really want to have a shock ask Subaru how much it is genuine ( $700-$800 for a genuine toyota one $1800 genuine Merc)
  18. could be air in the system BUT running such a larger size in the rear slave cylinders will make a difference as well, can you source a justy master cylinder
  19. If so then Legal tread depth will be 4mm not the usual 1.5mm
  20. Looks pretty good, an axial engine that to me looks like it runs through a swage plate set up ( very limited information available). will have some pretty good uses, but maybe not as a retrofit as it will come into the same issues as the rotary, mainly being the crank is centre(ish) of the engine
  21. Will go thru my pics, Should have a crap load
  22. They actually look like they are purpose built for that job, they are all interconnected
  23. Only way to find out is to get the manifolds/turbo/intake/oil feeds/waterfeeds/ and see if they bolt on, u will also need bigger injectors, airflow metre, and ecu. After all this is added/modified tuned and running then you will need to take it in for a Cert, this will probably bring up other issues like the need for bigger brakes and rims to suit.
