You will have issues such as: worn struts worn bushes worn engine mounts O2 sensors probably rooted The body will be tired as well other unknown gremlins... Replacing an engine is only the tip of an iceberg on cars with that high KM's

  7. Not car but trailer: Stripped the deck bearers and frame down to bare metal, wife brushed/sanded/grinded my way through dirt/dust/rust Cleaned up the load bed. Used underbody sealer on deck board (1 Lt) Used underbody sealer on frame - approx 1Lt Relaid deck & Metal sheet on load bed Filled all little holes via MIG weld... What a fooking day

I'm biased towards Tony at RDL but thats cause he tolerates my car taking up space in his workshop ;D He does get alot of return business from guys on here so he's priced well and does a great job. Stu's a good man too. I used to use his services before I learnt how to do things myself. I would use Stu too Buuut The man is too damn busy cos he does a good job....
  13. Just used Bitumen "flashing" to seal weld seams around panels... Frigging awesome (new product that expands up to 70% on its own length and does not contract/expand)

  15. Yep typical BS they sprout down here Hence why I get mine serviced at Autotech in Rangiora... Anyway as you said mate Ichiban stated it a few times that they just hooked it up in the service bay then retarded the timing... Disconnect battery you loose the "tune" To do the so called tune for our fuel all you do is clear any error codes, disconnect the battery for about 15min, then reconnect and drive around nicely... Voila... Save your money and do the above. My GTB had pinging issues years ago (brought on by some engine & exhaust mods), this was fixed with a poked O2 sensor replacement, & knock sensor replacement plus some good ol' Upper engine cleaner...
