  1. Military base, 24/7 security, And there are way nicer cars than mine too. Join the military
  2. Got some new Potenza RE003's on saturday, Then today front of car took some paint damage at the mercy of flying debris thanks to this superb weather wellies has on.
  3. Run lower temp plugs. Det could be fuel related. Admittedly 188kw isn't entirely unexpected, especially for a fresh engine
  4. If it weren't leadfoot weekend, I'd have come along. But yeah, leadfoot.
  5. have to assess to see if the subframe is damaged, looks pretty messy, new headlight, guard, bumper, bonnet, if you're lucky there mightn't be steering component damage- wouldn't bank on it though.
  6. Mine did that briefly when I had an old possumlink when I was tweaking the base tune, not enough fuel on the throttle off. Do you have a vent to atmo bov? Maybe the spring is too soft, letting out air. making it too rich and just stalling? other intake leaks ?
  7. Got an EOS 750D now, so Can take better pictures huehue. with a Mates V4 STi converted legacy Wags.
  8. Yeah, 32 is SSM CEL flashing codes the P0131/P0031 is for later OBDII compliant computers. The lambda sensor will still talk- Easiest way to get the part number is to take the O2 sensor out and confirm. Some have different threads/sizes
  9. I only had one O2 sensor in my BH5, there can be two, 1 in the headers on the passenger side, and one further back in the exhaust which mine was missing. never threw a code for it though admittedly I did single turbo it. If I recall I got one new Bosch O2 sensor for 254.00, that was 6 years ago though. you're still probably looking at that figure though. Knock sensor is easy- well on the TT's you will have better luck removing the intercooler to even attempt this. It's situated sorta in land from the bov on the block. Starter signal, just check all your connections on the starter motor are okay, that none of the wires are wiggled loose, or that no wire insulation has melted off. rather uncommon code to be had, so if it's not a poked starter motor, then it's a wiring fault.
  10. get a multihex half inch ring spanner (as half inch is half a mil smaller than 13mm) and hammer it on, it sacrifices the nut, but once it's on and you crack it, she'll be sweet also, overnight coat the C*** in inox/crc/wd-40
  11. I just buy genuine cambelt kits- usually sold at cost for circa 560. then cam shaft seals an extra 20 each. not bad tbh. comes with crank seal
  12. nah mate, still drinks like a champ on bp 98 too. just need a tune hahha.
  13. drove from Auckland to picton- You don't realise how much more fuel is used when dealing with gull pro until you are driving long haul and only get 100kms to a quarter of a tank haha. Definitely going to get a reflash when I get to wellington next year. haha. happy with how she drives though!
  14. I had a full fujitsubo RM-01a on my old GC8, Only reason I swapped it out was cos the centre flexi got chewed by courtesy crossings. sounded pretty good imo wasn't too loud (with a resonator in the downpipe)
  15. Sorted out the reverse beeper. little box just under steering column on a beacket. blue and grey plug. opened the little box up. removed beeper from circuit. all is well in the candy kingdom. Might solder an LED in at a later point so it isn't an open circuit. for now. no more reverse beeping. next step; Defi gauges
  16. I was literally thinking that this morning, Also need to get rid of the gay steel ball gearknob... and find that F***ing reverse beeper!
  17. Yesterday; I picked up this gorgeous creature; -You asked @Dairusire and here you are Also, facebook image links automatically embed, that's new. cool though
  18. I mean like no clutch gear changing which is pretty neat imo
  19. You know what- I like it. It says "Fnck you, Fnck all of you."
  20. got bored while driving in auckland traffic and taught myself how to rev match to change gears, so If anyone actually knows more about this- rev matching works within range of any set of 1k revs, right? I've only changed using the 2-3k range, and then a little testing of the 3-4k range. But I assume it can be done using higher RPMS? Not that I really want to try- just curious as to the theory behind it
  21. way too much. K's are good- but at the most- I'd say 10k. Others might say it's lowballing but the market is dropping.
  22. TBH that's almost the only function I use unless I am after something specific, lazy- I know lol
  23. Another clean sheet wof Churrr! Wof guy was testing the brakes again and again because he thought they were too hard. lolwut: brakes too good? MMM OKAY. See you auckland cats in Albany this arvo eh
  24. If there's anything quite tight on it it can take a while, when I did the cambelt on my rex, it ended up taking just half an hour to undo the bolt on the crank pulley. in saying that, its really only an hour to get S*** off, give yourself an hour to align, replace water pump etc, then another hour to put stuff back on/top up fluids, at most with complications maybe 4.5 hours, say of the cam pulley's are playing tough when you go to replace the seals. etc. -though actually looking- that's a quote and they'll over-estimate so as to not charge you the extra 10% fee that you'll see noted down. -also, go to mot, see if you can't get a quote from stevens auto if they aren't too busy this time of year. Not sure on the pricing-as I always did my own but they're a good bunch and should see you right.
  25. Our cars wheel alignments are like periods, gone all in sync and S***. Alignment of wheel alignments
