  4. There is an 18 & 19 on trademe for $120 & $50 buy nows could probably get him to combine the shipping and get a better deal than $40+ if it is infact anything wrong with them. or might find a better deal in the classifieds section here where are you located? do you notice/can you hear any whine from them? do you have a boost gauge to monitor boost levels? is your car standard or modified? but as said above, go see someone who knows subbies for a second opinion and proper diagnosis
  5. what makes him think they are on there way out?
  6. My RSB has some mean slap when cold, goes away once warmed though, has been there for at least the year and a half i've owned the car( its only done 3k more than yours), i just make sure its nice and warm before i give it a decent thrash, just make sure you change the oil every 5 - 10 thousand k, use decent oil, and warm it up properly before getting on boost also the forged piston thing is a myth as far as i can tell from info on teh webz and very much doubt your faulty AFM has anything to do with the slap Im going to pick up the missus soon, if its not raining cats n dogs when i go, ill try take a video of it so you can compare it to yours
  7. im sure Swindog said something about this the other day feck all on it Here you go....

    need a sub

Currently rocking one in my boot, along with a 900w fusion amp running the sub and rear speakers with the high pass set for the sub and low pass set for the rear speakers, it drives hard ( i listen to d n b & dubstep alot as well as rock etc) i haven't experienced any issues with it, crisp punchy bass with no farty rattles as those who have probably already mentioned, you will want an amp decent enough to drive the sub, i mean you could chuck some warewhare gear in and it might sound OK at low volume, but crank the volume to 11 and it will probably sound like arse, match a decent sub and decent amp and it should hold through nicely until it is too loud for yourself to stand... or your panels fall off, whichever comes first - go to some car audio places/ripco and piss em off, play with all their headunits and speaker combinations, take some music with you so you can get an idea of what sounds good to your ear
  13. Bought it a new Exedy clutch off tardme, now just need to save for a couple of weeks then off to Rick to get swapped ;D
  14. I Have Nitto NT555's on my leggy, i've said it before & ill say it again, i am very impressed with them, hold pressure remarkably well, have not experienced any sidewall collapse and grip is awesome in wet & dry mine are also 215/45R17 and cost $195 + gst per corner from Mag & Turbo 6 & a half months ago, ive clocked up at least 10k on them and am sitting at 6mm all round at my wof last week
  15. got my new rego in the mail. oh soo nice not having to go stand in line at the post office
  16. Just need the Reward Junkie App on your smartphone, find them in the Venues tab and click on it & according to the app you get a free WOF as a "joining gift" pity i just got a WOF so wont be using it for 6 months, but pretty decent of them IMO If anyone uses it let us know how you get on, keen to hear some feedback
  17. Took it for a warrant this morning, passed with flying colours! asked him if there was anything he noticed that might need attention soon and he said nah couldn't fault it at all, YUS! means i can funnel my spare cash into getting the clutch changed in next few weeks, will be nice to have smooth shifting again. WIN!
  18. have you got his full real name? i assume he gave it to you when giving you his bank details? EDIT:might be worth PM'ing mostramdomguyaround ^^^ hes in welly and dealt with him before, he might know an address for him, that way you could lodge a claim in small claims court against him, if you have all correspondence from on here, even txts sent and received & your bank details etc that should be enough to prove you paid for goods you never received
  19. I agree, but I also know a few guys with Skylines and Evos making butloads of power on a Dyno who just nana everywhere and keep inch perfect cars. Its horses for courses. By all means if its going to be pushed tyres are a must, I don't deny that. I have heard good things about the Nittos, very keen to try a set. I have Nitto NT555's currently and i must say they are one choice tyre IMO, stick like glue, hold pressure extremely well, less rolling resistance than my previous set, no sidewall collapse and come out of the same factory in japan as Toyo tyres i drive somewhat aggressively within the speed limits but they hold well even under heavy cornering and stop on a dime. good in the wet on open road even with a couple of fatties in the back and torrential rain I'm very happy with my set They Cost me $195 + gst per corner from mag & turbo
  20. do you need it garaged off the street? if not I've never had a problem around my place in Brooklyn and my car is always on the street and depending on flight times i can take you to & pick you up from the airport im also not going to be making MM so can keep an eye on it, is all free parking around here as well no residents parking zones etc Option is there if you don't get a better offer anyhow
  21. Thank you for completing the give way quiz. You correctly scored 8 out of 9.
  22. There are quite a few people on here that would like to stamp out the behaviour you mentioned. Its not condoned by any stretch of the imagination. If you go to a zoo and behave like the primates then what does that make you??????? Cheers I'm sorry but you were talking about "keeping your Pimp hand strong" in another thread recently ie smacking your woman around to keep her in line, plus all the rest of the posts you make about vigilante justice/log beats etc etc etc so before you start slinging mud at others take a look at yourself, your quick to throw out you opinion at others & quick to moan when others post similar tripe, your one of the biggest shit stirrers on this forum, you make your opinion loud and clear. I've held my tongue for a while about this, but quit with your high and mighty attitude already will ya? i for one am sick of your BS LOL you have no respect for yourself. Id have told her to go f*** herself. Say hi to your mum for me [quote name='JoKer said: gunna fly a kite with her, bitches love kites /quote] I see you single for a reason bro! enough? or you still think your better than everyone else here?
  23. not a BG but my BD like Funky's wagon is on factory Bilsteins and Tein Superlows, only dropped it about 30 or 40mm from standard, doesn't seem to catch many gutters either so am pretty stoked, not too low, not to high, and still gives a nice comfortable ride, except for pot holes and having fatties in the back, but i guess that's partly due to the stiffness/rebound rate of the Bilsteins also oh and also i have wagon struts in the arse end, thanks to sub a roo auto spares sending me the wrong ones, but i don't notice the difference
