Wiper Blade Recomendations

Hi All

Its time to replace the wiper blades on my Legacy. I have tried repco ones before but they are S#*T and start squealing after a few weaks.

Can any one recomend some quality wiper blades and where to get them. Pref in Wellington.

I've got good ones on my Spec C, but they were on it when I got it. I'll try find out for you though.

EDIT: Found out they were from Repco, about $30 each side. It's the whole assembly, not just the blades.

i use bosch wiper blades on all my cars, get them from work cheap lol, but on my fairmont i replaced the whole assembly as the arms where getting worn and werent wiping properly even with new blades. the complete assemblies i got from partmaster and were fairly cheap (not sure on retail price).

or you could just go to subaru dealer and get genuine ones if your that way inclined

I'd really like to find somewhere to get the Bosch Aerotwin blades but I've failed so far...

From memory mine are Bosch but I'll check when I get home and take a pic or two. I know they are good anyway.

the biggest reason for squealing of wipers is the blades are not 90 degrees to windscreen,if u can get them to do this then u will find that the squealing stops

Well here are mine anyway... they are Bosch, but only single blades

Ah thats what my old mans volvo has fitted factory on it - they rule!

Mine used to last 2 months in the BOP thanks to sitting in the blistering sun and salt all day. Down here in palmy i get about 6 months out of a set of supercheap auto bosch ones.

I always use the genuine inserts. They work really well.

Whatever brand you go for, make sure its good quality rubber as it will last longer. Tridon ones are sh*t.

I use real-rubber steel-backed from Repco. They work really good for 2 years and then need replacing. Good as gold.

That's them... they're supposed to be the shiz but I haven't been able to find any anywhere ???

Yea supercheap, got some on sale a while ago for like ten bucks each, think they're usually 30 or something

I've been in two or three Supercheap auto stores and never seen them!

Might have to do the ring around or something.

Yep.

And dirty windscreens, you'd be amazed at the sort of crap that gets stuck to your windscreen.

I've been using Repco/Motorguard cheapies in conjunction with a coating of Rain-X for years with no problems.

i'd like to find a company that stocks PIAA blades, my old V5 came into the country with them, best wipers i ever had...

but those bosch ones are a good choice. tho a lil on the light weight side.

why dont you tune your wipers with two crescents? just tweak the arm until the rubber folds properly.... easy...
