yip, thats way over priced.

There is that many e-tunes for sale to choose from, tell him the KMs are putting you off, but tell him if it hasnt sold before the looming departure date you have 8.5K in hard core cash for him ;D

I paid 8.5K for mine and its 2001 Manual with 104,000KMs. I did have to spend some cash on the center diff.

Prolly owes me about 12K with single turb conversion and Possum link etc, but that price doesnt hurt as much as a got the car initially for a good price.

Heres one similar with way lower KMs and nicer wheels.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-274155018.htm

WIth these cars, the center diffs are renound for crapping out. Go for like a 20-40 min run on the open road, then find a quiet street and do tight turning circles, lock to lock, if there is binding or clicking noises from the front and/or rear.. more than likely the center diff is crook.

They are about 1.5K - 2K for the average Jo to get fixed.

Awesome ill remember that, its a bugger that the legacy i posted has so many kms otherwise i would have brought it by now... Don't like the wheels on the other ones. Like the kms tho haha.

Are the turbos gna be on there last legs at 140,000 kms?

Dunno bout the turbos, i believe the later turbs are better again on the GT-B's.

i guess its like anything, depends on the life they have led thus far i.e. good servicing and not raced

Some one else on here will be able to tell you more about the turbos

Yea for sure... Gazzy2000 what did you pay for the turbos?

na, thats the thing, i sold the twin turbs when i did the single turbo conversion, so now i have a single Vf22 turbo, of which is off a STI, not a GT-B. If that answers your question.

If i recall i sold them for $300 for the two. GT-B turbs do come up for sale on tard me quite a bit so if you brought the car and they did sh1t them selves you'd have plenty of options.

Oh i see. So whats it like with the single turbo? Far better?

Well, yea i reckon it is waay better. I say this because i owned a "mint as" 97 STI hatch and sold it to get the 2001 E-tune wagon (family reasons) the STI was agressively fast, just a freakish STI.

So in my mind that was the bench mark. I jumped in the GT-B, loved the smooth crusing aspect of the ride but it had nothing on the power of the STI. I was rather pissed off with it compared to the STI.

So that was it for me, i did the TT to ST, slapped on a dirty big VF22 and now i have a grocery getter that can keep up with most average STI's and then some, but still looks like a grocery getter.

Haha yea thats cool. Now whats the factory speakers like? I've just sold me Toyota Altezza and that had such a nice factory speaker system in it.

Some GT-Bs have a Mackintosh factory system which is just magic! has factory amp and sub etc.

Excellent, good to hear. So would that GTB E-tune2 be ok to run on 95 Octane?

I have only run mine on 95 for the last 2 years and it is still sweet as.

Also make sure that the person that last "serviced" the centre diff wasn't a muppet...

+1 on this

Those TT 4wd gearboxs only take a certain type of oil with not much room for error if the wrong oil is used.

i.e. use the wrong oil and with in 6 months the center diff will start to bind up

Ok. I found a nice GTB 2003 down here in a car yard, its a fresh import, they are still tidying it up etc. Will hopefully have it ready in a few days for me to test out. Its done 111,000kms has $13,990 on the window.

Another question is i noticed that that GTB i posted in my first post has 4 airbags. Is this only in the e-tunes or something?

I had a '01 GTB for a few years. As far as I know it had only 2 airbags. Mine was very nice, well serviced, 136kms, few extras and sold for 9K. I was happy and so was the buyer.

My advice is to get a Subaru expert to inspect it prior to purchase. Don't trust anyone. I have been burnt and I'm sure many others have also.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
