Look what turned up at my work today (GTR35)

we had to get different arms for the hoist so that they would fit under the GTR, so they were testing them to make sure they would work, and they do. mmm only a month and there will be about 7 of them turning up that i will have to clean/drive :D

can't wait

looks like it borrows a little bit from the 350/370 Z, not that that is entirely a bad thing. I think, for the money, I'd take the new vette though. more expensive, but not by that much I don't think?

I'd take the Vette ZR1 too but it's a LOT more expensive !

There's an outfit in Australia converting them to RHD.

No change from $400k

Compare that with an NZ new GTR at ~$150k...

My wife would own a 35 - it'd be a great GT.

I'd prefer have a BNR34 Z-TUNE for road work & a BNR32 for rack day use just for nostalic reasons.

The 35 is in in its infantcy though and in a few years a wide range of options to get around its weak transmission

and engine will become available.

That 'Vette is pure sex too :)

no, not really, although I do like some american cars. I haven't seen the prices for either of the cars here in NZ, but in the states the GTR is 80k and the ZR1 is 100k. It does put them sorta in the same range, but the ZR1 is quicker in a straight line and around a track, whichever you're after. although, i have heard the interior is rather dissappointing.

Looks nicer, sounds much better , handles just as well as any 4wd and it's FAST.

Checkout all the vids on Youtube including the 'vettes incredible 7:26 Nurburgring run and a roadtest where it blitzes the GTR, Porsche GT2, Ferrrai 599.

Price considered; the GTR.

Nothing compares at the $150k mark.

Oh yeah;

You can buy the Corvette's LS9 as a crate motor to put in whatever you fancy.

I am familiar with the ZR1 Credentials.

As for engine sound, not a V8 fan even with a Supercharger, i am however if it is a flat plane crank and/or Twin-turbocharged.

I'll opt for the GTR mainly due to the fact that i couldn't allow myself to drive such a Boofhead car. ::)

As for beating the GT2 it didn't happen.

Firstly comparing a GT3 to the R35GTR is bogus. For a number of reasons.

Your not going to Lap a R35GTR over and over and drive it home.

Near on Ten years of development you would expect a little domination.

Oh and i doubt you'll have a much fun around the track as you would in the GT3, a more involving drive from what I've read.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
