Alignment Question : L/F Camber Maxed Out ??

Hi All,

So I just got my car back from having the alignment done, and a note on the side says L/F Camber Maxed Out.

And its figures are :

Left -2 degrees 55'

Right -3 degrees 02'

Is that going to be bad ??

Why would my camber be maxed out anyway ?

Hey Chris. Its not bad at all. It would just mean that they cannot get anymore out of that side, so it is set to its maximum.

Both sides are pretty close anyway, with the left just under -3 and the right just over.

That will work fine on your car.

To get more you would have to get out the die-grinder and slot the upper strut mounting hole (down by the hub) a bit to allow the top of the hub to be pushed further inward. This is how I have done mine, and can get up to -6 deg if wanted!

What's the current front end setup on your car ?

I can vouch for the effectiveness of slotting the strut holes.

Maxed out I could get -3.20º/-3.12º

the discrepancy is probably due to the subframe not being perfectly centred
