Hey guys,

About time we got the troops together and had a decent cruise, i'm thinking start mid morning, stop somewhere for lunch and then go some nice back roads or something..

Who is keen?

My next available date is the 6th June (as I got a fulltime job now )

I guess with it leaking it's a good way to make sure it gets fresh oil frequently ;D

don't worry my rocker cover gaskets.....stilllllllllll need doing,

i could be persuaded if enough ppls are keen.

Want me do ya roket cover gasket's dubbed? Easy as! Nothing worse than car's that leak stuff everywhere. Sucks to work on them, always get mega dirty. Get annoying burning smell's. And it sucks filling things up all the time.

just keeping the oil fresh : , also the cost of doing the gaskets proplery is only a wee bit less than a 2nd hand motor, how long can the current engine go for? ;D

I'm getting the oil seal done this week hopefully so I'll be keen on a cruise.

Andrew. What oil seal you need done? I would be able to do this a damn site cheaper than any garage and probally quarter the time, dubbedup will be able to vouch for my work.

iirc its the crank seal- and his mates perky'ing it up for him.

iirc its the crank seal- and his mates perky'ing it up for him.

Yep, oil pump seal and crank shaft seal have gone. I'm also getting the timing belts, water pump and camshaft seals done at the same time. My mate (qualified mechanic) quoted $600 to do the lot.

Yep, oil pump seal and crank shaft seal have gone. I'm also getting the timing belts, water pump and camshaft seals done at the same time. My mate (qualified mechanic) quoted $600 to do the lot.

i did mine, cost me $40 for the parts and about took 4 hours

mate sorry to say thats not cheap AT ALL! thats like full shop price and mybe then and some!!!! i cant get parts at trade price be less that 250 and labor be around 100
