I don't dislike them, I just don't think they improve the air flow.

the K&N ones are all right the only advantage is being abile to clean them that iv found. did notice that the oil mad my b4 run like sh!t untill i cleaned the afm. no problems since. if you want beter air flow do a snorkelectomy found it helps a litle bit nd sounds mean

Snorkelectomy achieves bugger all on a BH except for more noise, makes a difference on a BG though apparently.

Cleaning MAF is a piece of cake - 1)buy can of CRC MAF cleaner 2)remove maf part of airbox 3)spray MAF well with cleaner 4)let it dry and reinstall.

Re performance gains, I was reading a story on another forum recently from a guy who dynoed a GrpN Evo 9 with the standard filter and a K & N filter - it made 15hp less with the K & N than it did with a standard filter, and the standard one also filtered dust more effectively.

On the dyno at Keith Stewarts last year, I think Albaru got more power with a stock paper filter than his K&N?

Personally i wouldnt bother with a replacement panel. I just put my airbox back in so have a pod filter sitting in the shed now.

New subaru genuine panels are only about $30. They seem to give best performance vs filtration.

K so u reckon their is no difference between a k&n one and a stock one.

Anyone know where I can buy a new one?

They wouldn't be a bit biased - yeah right :P

Every independent test i have seen - K&N does not filter as well as a paper filter.

There are gains to be made with airbox / snorkel mods on a BH. The BH snorkel is a more freeflowing design than the BG. So the gains from removing the snorkel aren't as much. The BH airbox entry is still a restriction.

But the intake pipe under the manifold is narrower then the airbox inlet, and the turbo

inlet is only 2 inches or something.

True but it does reduce pressure drop thus aids flow.

But yes the TT turbo intake is restrictive but it has flowed 240kw or there abouts

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
