How to wire Orange A/F into Green A/F Plug

whats the easiest way to wire the orange sticker into the green sticker plug???

anyone done this ???

I can't find it right now, but I know I've got it on paper out in the garage.

I did find this post though...

 

Looking at the open face of the wiring connector with the clip thing at the top and the wiring pointing away from you....

RH wire is 12V supply

Middle wire is earth to ECU??

LH wire is signal

I used the connector from an orange AFM and pulled the pins out of the green AFM connector and fitted them to the orange.

There isn't. You have to fit an orange AFM if you're swapping the ECU to a V3/4 STi ECU.

theres a few more things to re-wire if your plugging a v3/4 ecu into a v1/2 loom.. if your having trouble with the afm its going to be a looooong job

in saying that however if you get it working let us know.. it can be a prick of a thing to sort properly

yer thats one way around it haha

who programmed it specifically for the orange afm? and why? if you can tune your own chips the afm is irrelevant unless you want the larger intake diameter, 90mm i think it is

I found it!

Green --> Orange

Pin 4 ---> Pin 1

Pin 2 ---> Pin 2

Pin 1 ---> Pin 3

All as looking into the open face of the socket.

i used this trick it worked for me no problems. this should be added to the wiring pinouts/threads its a pain to find.

2S ECU 3plug and purple 3pin afm

there is a gain in going from the crappy green air flow to the orange afm

the orange 90mm guy has much more resolution - can get a smoother tune out of it as theres more room to smoothen the tune out

also more head room so u can tune within the resolution - but when it comes down to it u can still tune off a 5v signal anyway
