Just on this fuel thing in the country at the moment, im in the position to say shell and mobil are pulling out of NZ in the next couple of years. Unsure of when exactly.

This will open up Allied Petroleum to step in in their place which will hopefully reduce the price of fuel overall

I work in the fuel industry and have not heard that. Interesting comments though. Strange that Allied have purchased kaurilands, that deliver their Mobil products, if you are saying mobil are on their way out. And as for Shell, they are rebranding to Greenstone, as far as I am aware. So maybe no "shell" as such but their brand of fuel will most likely stay. Would like to know more...

Shell Todd own Marsden Point, Which inturn sell fuel to BP and Mobil(yes NZ fuel come from the same place no matter who u go too). 91-95, diesel, E10 and Jet/AV fuel come form Marsden. 98 is fully imported. Gulls fuel is imported too.

My current car is E10 rated, but i still use 98. (N/A honda) the cost offset from using cheaper fuel vs. amount of kms you get on a tank, I stay with 98.

TBH the only reason you would bitch about not running a car on 98 is the price. (if you cant get 98 then there no really anything you can do)

If price is that much of an issues that you cant run 98 full time, sell up and get a bike.

I assume your last comment was targeted at performance car owners as not all cars utilise a higher octane fuel

Even then a bike isn't cheaper to keep on the road than a car (I'm talking motorbikes here) costs for registration alone on a 250cc is SUBSTANTIALLY more for than for a car's rego for the same length of time ($74 more in my case), and then you have insurance and protective gear. And bicycles... well we all know how that lot are, and you're pretty fucked if you live in a hilly part of the country or in a sub rural area ::)

I've been told by james at speed-tech to stay away from gull gas so i'll believe him.

I run it on mobil 98 gas and get about 250-275kms for $40 gas as i just reset my km's when i put gas in.

Depends what you're running it in and how its tuned IMO. Gives great results with a good tune.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
