regarding this ECU, says its a WRX-RA v3 in the above link, but is it STI??

Looks like it runs yellows and a VF23

ahh, so its not an STI ECU?? So is the tune of the RA ECU similar to an STI

6S is sti and sti RA

from v3-v6 there is no tune difference between wrx / wrx-ra and sti / sti-ra

haha yeah i have a 1S already from my brothers 1S -> 6S swap

to add some confusion however, i would use the AC722 one. i believe its a newer build of the 1S and the tune may have been tweaked

purely speculation, i'm just going by their numbering systems

ok so the WRX and WRX RA ECUs that run yellows and orange AFM is not the same tune as the STI?

1S, 2S, 3S, 6S etc these are all different tunes on the same ecu board.

WRX have non forged engine. the tune is to suit

STI have forged engine, a higher strung tune and more go.

Well i shud have checked the numbers on the ECU when i brought it, hur dur, now i have two exactly the same ECUs :-[

um yeah theres a bunch of differences between wrx / sti engines. i was keeping it simple

Its a GTB engine i brought off a chap on here, done 20KM on a recon, looks like they have used race bearings ( i have all the receipts) new pistons etc.

So yea, it ran yellows and and orange AFM too.

when i get one i will be running a 6S on the spare EJ20H block i got from you. its a solid tune but not crazy
