Boost issues on REXITE

Hi...Im experiencing some weird issues. Experiencing a lot of whining and hissing sounds and the boost doesnt come on evenly. A garage has said its just turbo whine but I know my car better than they do.

For instance in second it effectively wont go past 10psi but it will in third..howver it goes to 10, sort of pauses and then goes straight to about 18/20 without any appreciable kick in the pants.

Doesnt seem to do a straightline appreciable power curve like it did pre the new engine going into it.

Does it need to go back on the dyno?

What might be possible issues?

Another option, are all the lines to the wastegate actuator/boost control solenoid hooked up correctly?

Amateur hour here..what should they look like?

Are you able to take a pic of the vacuum hoses and where they come from/go to in relation to the wastegate actuator and the solenoids etc that are on the drivers strut tower. Plus will need to know if you've got an aftermarket ECU and/or boost controller.

Its just too difficult to explain without pictures.

wasn't the car reassembled by PBMS? I'm sure they would have done it correctly. Have you asked them about the problem?

^^ Thats a good point too. Wonder if the hose with the restrictor pill has been replaced with one without a pill?

Not yet..it goes okay enough apart from sounding like an Old Man who has smoked 20 plus...wil maybe get Shred to tune boost controller again.

Cheers..that would be good...dont have it ..could u pm me plse.

Tested it again today..held it in third thru and let it spin out to about to about 4-5000rpm and u could definately hear it "lose boost"....

they are common for there solenoids to fuck out

If its your valve, give Mac Valves a ring in AKL, $60 delivered for a new one. They supply Haltec, Link and Gizzmo, also I'm pretty sure a profec b spec 2 has the same valve
