Lower spool revs?

Call me an old man but how do I get my turbo to spool lower with more grunt? I just want more power between 2500-4000rpm so I can nip past people on hills without changing out of 5th.

Runing all stock so far.

You need more displacement if you dont want to change your turbo size, i would agree with Koom and put a dirty v8 in it Or a rotary... jk

catless downpipe will help spool.

Aftermkt boost controller.

Remove snorkel from the intake system

Subaru have a GREAT system that was installed in Legacy's from 93-2003 called Sequential Twin Turbo providing exactly what your are after CPT

admittedly its not perfect but nothing really ever is....

See I did get a helpful answer. I was thinking of a downpipe, do I get it with lugs to plug sensors back into or substitute with resistors.

By boost controller do you mean electronic or pnuematic?

that will help a little, won't help so much that you can sit in 5th while passing up hills....

A replacement downpipe should come with a fitting for your O2 sensor.

You could use a pnuematic effectively but ebc would be better.

Passing in 5th - it would depend on the how steep the hill is and obviously what speed your doing. If your passing in a passing lane and you just need to beat one car then i guess its possible.

Im not the best to judge as i run a short ratio gearbox anyways.

Move to canterbury-no hills! I would just go for the downpipe option and chuck in a boost controller just for good measure probly the cheapest way to gain a bit more torque down low.

i should've refrased, i mean when you're doing 110 @2700rpm and just wanna nip past someone and it won't be long and you don't wanna rev past them so they think 'typical subie driver'. My turbo doesn't pick up till around 2900 but wanted to lower it a little.

ok then yup a siamese downpipe and EBC would do you fine then, I've had both on my car (no longer have ebc tho)
