New BOV Fitted - Faulty Airflow Meter or Normal Operation

I have a '92 Legacy and just fitted a BOV that vents to atmosphere. My issue is that now when I stop to give way to traffic or at a red light I notice the revs drop to the point the car almost stalls (a couple of times it has stalled) then pick up and the drop then pick up and then level out as per normal. Is this normal when fitting a vent to atmosphere BOV or is it the sign of a faulty airflow meter?

The BOV was a freebie and leaks a fair bit under part throttle, it's a "go between" until I get a HKS SSQV.

When I got a 2nd hand BOV for my car it mucked around like that, stalled, didn't hold revs, accelerated roughly - all sorts.... I added more lugs/springs in it to stop it from "leaking" and it has been fine ever since... it's not normal in my opinion... but I'm a girl so what would I know : ;D

Also, my airflow meter conked out a couple of weeks ago and gave the same symptoms... Have you tried removing the BOV to see if it is still doing the same, like a matter of elimination...

You can get away with fitting an Atmo BOV.

The symptoms your describing is poor adjustment.

i still get that with my bov wound right up (gfb basic), no leak just rev hunts when coming off boost to a stop.

Atmo BOV's are a Kebab mod.
