1992 wrx td05h standard?

was removing my stovepipe today and had a look at the turbo it has td05h stamped on it and was wondering if this is the standard turbo for this car(1992 non sti wrx).

yea i think they come standard in the early sedans, wagons got the td04

u know how they say 16,18,20g is that refering to the compressor wheel size or something?

so what would be the next step up turbo wise without going twisted?? is the dsr td05 20 g much of a difference over stock? ???

To be honest, u haven't even purshed the limit of ur current turbo. The current one will max out ur injectors. So first upgrade ur fuel pump, ecu, bigger injectors ie yellows at least and then you should start looking at rebuilding ur current turbo with a 18g or 20g. I have had 238 kw atw with an 18g td05h on mine. Even then ur engine if it is just a 1992 wrx probably won't be able to handle the top end anyhow unless you have a forged rebuild.

tru...i have yellows and a chiped ecu so maybe just start with a fuel pump upgrade and a orange afm, its still green label atm...what sort of fuel pump should i get tho?

195 on good ole trademe haha....is it much hassle to install tho?...in tank or external? trademe 1 comes with subaru installation kit and instructions for the intank one

Haha yeah seen qiute a few of those "genuine" trademe ones..... Far from genuine when you find they die on you.

wrxer how much did it cost you to upgrade to 18g wheel did u have to change the housing at all?

Was about $800 to get it rebuilt, however that was around 4 years ago so no doubt prices have changed. Was a place here in chch, I'll hunt it down.
