I want to lower boost

Hello, car is a BC5 GT

My car has a group N chip which runs 98 octane, greys and 15psi. I really like the way it runs and idles with this ecu except I only have a vf10 turbo and want to lower the boost to about 8psi so I don't have to worry as much about the wee turbo taking a hiding

If I lower the boost with a boost tap am I going to get overfuelling problems?

I do have 2 tdo5 in the shed if thats anybodys answer but I don't really want to drive at 15psi anyway, just want the smooth running this ecu has

are you running a pill inside one of the vacume lines on the turbo?if so remove that and run a straight line from the acutater and the turbo.you will then run your acuaters boost which will vairy to 7psi-10psi.

a standard sti runs about 1bar so 15psi isnt too bad.that is if your engine is a sti one or not.im not sure in 15psi would be healthy on a standrd wrx engine

not sure if a tap will lower boost by itself, u will need to disconnect the factory boost controller, so it will run wastegate pressure, then fit tap to up boost to 8 psi :)

yes ...

as said before

disconect factory boost solinoid and run a line from the turbo compressor to the actuator...this will give u 7-8 psi depending on spring pressure in actuator)

if u want say 10 psi fit a boost tap inside the line and adjust to suit

if u fit ur td05 and run 15psi it should be fine as thats what the ecus maped for

yea i bet 15 psi would come on quick with that little turbo haha

a wrx engine is fine on 15 though as the ecu would be maped to run 15psi...

but i dont know if the small turbo will last on 15psi... a td05 is fine on 15psi

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
