Launch control on V7 STI

I thought dumping would be better (if there is a better???)

maybe your clutch is on it's way out and not clamping hard enough, maybe upgrade to a 6 puk or someting?

I'm no expert when it comes to this at all, just throwing ideas\mis-information out there

if ya clutch smells when ya launch...its farked...no 2 ways about it...if ya ride the clutch when u launch...its not going to last long at all...youll burn it out and crack the flywheel from the heat...

get a new clutch and get the flywheel machined...

get a sti (larger diameter) clutch kit and wack that in...if your going a step harder get a puck clutch (these dissipate heat faster and the number of pucks doesnt really mean anything just different designs)...

a puck will dissipate heat faster and reduce chance of the clutch overheating and slipping and burning out... they have a smaller surface area meaning it can cool allot faster... and a heavy duty as fark pressure plate to hold it tight...

get a sprung center puck if your going to daily drive the car... i personally run a 6 puck exedy hyper single with matching hyper flywheel...its fine for me to daily drive as im use to it...but its not a sprung center so if you ride the clutch it shudders like a beast and shakes the whole car...

thats why i said if you want serious grip get a puck clutch with a sprung center ... sprung center will not shudder and is just like a normal clutch to drive...

people allways mislead people about clutchs...

like the thread on NASIAC (or whatever that forum is) about this dude fully hating on EXEDY saying theyre a shit company dont buy exedy etc...he should have done research on clutchs before buying a solid center clutch :)

Yea man smelling at launch means it's on it's way out

Wat rpm is it set at

I always have set mine and the ones I done at 5.5krpm as that seemed the best take off upon trying different rpm

If u are too high up it will slip a lot if weak clutch already

Properly set launch control with good clutch makes for a very clean getaway ;D

It will wear your clutch out, but not if your only using it down the track. You wouldn't use it that much in your day to day use would you??

How was your clutch before you put the launch controller in?? It may not be the launch controller damaging the clutch, could be the driver!! ;D ;D ??? ??? ::) ::)

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
