Removing the TMIC from the bug

alrighty people hints and tips on this please never removed one on a bug but have from the older versions they are a bit smaller than the V7 upwards so whats the trick to it any hints????? just some pointers to get it off will use K Y Jelly to lube it up to get back on (Strange but the best stuff to get silicone pipes over, no oily residue left behind as its water based and does dry up)

Cool just started it in the dark to sux cause my garage is only big enough to store the car not work on it

should be just the 2 hose clamps plus mount bolts and blow off valve line . . . and wiggle it out . you shouldn't need vasaline they fit pretty easy

yea not much wiggle space from what i saw unless you got mini me hands its off now wasnt that hard but tight fit on these ones much bigger than GC8 models for sure

yea got the redline one its pretty cool big box it came in will wait abit for the tune gotta save up a bit more If you dont go down to GIssy or you come back give us a text might go for a breaky cruise on the weekend and hit the patriot in devonport great pub good food

Sweet as mate, heading down there to see family and I love the waiaweka gorge, its the longest in the country and awesome for driving , very tight and twisty....

Yea man what redline goodies

The tmic comes off fairly easy

A bolt on each side

Hose clamp on turbo month

Bov hose clamp and vac line

Also remove the breather connectors - one on passenger side and two on driver side

It's the rubber hose that connects to the metal pipe bolted on the ontercooler front

He got a exhaust like mine, 3 inch turbo back stainless system, cheap and does the trick.

yeah full stainless system includes down pipe and up pipe as well, I got a resonator put in mine as I found it to loud but you can't go wrong for the price.

yeah might have rounded a nut on the down pipe one closest to drivers side should make it fun now

neither could I when i was told but it works better than grease or anything else and good cause its water based and will dry eventually unlike vaseline or any solvent or sillicone based product

alot of people love doing that! especially on one that has never been removed in its life! has happened to me but u learn from ur mistakes ;D

gotta pick up one of them wrench spanners that grips on itself as you move it from me old mans place just reistalled my radiator with a new top tank
