Legacy gtb boost hesitation

Hi Guys

I have a problem with my 1999 GTB legacy. The car boosts well at low rpm but when I put my foot down and the secondary turbo kicks in it hesitates big time and Doesn't seem to boost. The check engine light has not come on and I have checked the vacuum hoses and nothing seems wrong. Does any one have any advice? could it be a boost leak, and what symptoms will the car show if the secondary turbo is stuffed. Any advice would be awesome

Thanks :)

Plugs have been changed by previous owner, Have only owned for two weeks problem started today.

Looking over other posts I'm thinking it could be a solenoid or sticky actuator problem. Problem only starts when secondary turbo comes into play.

these arent a 5min fix usually, there are many different components to the Twin system

hesistation sounds more like an ignition issue

Time for someone who knows what they are doing to look at it for you

(As per all cars bad diagnosis costs plenty and even more on Twins as there is so much to them)

A mate of mine had exact problem with his 99 b4 even went for a cruise in it and had same symptoms felt like boost cut took to subarts and surely enough had to replace secondary and the tight arse replaced it with a primary turbo so hez runing two primary model vfs

*update* took to the mechanic today, he thinks it might be a faulty coil and the hesitation and surging is the car running between3 and 4 cylinders.

He is going to put some new coils in tomorrow ( fingers crossed it works) :)

Hope all goes well with it tomorrow mate! same think happened in my 00' GTB was and intake issue from having a pod filter on, which was sucking hot air and shaking round as it wasn't properly fixed in place. ended up putting in factory air box, new air flow meter and everything was sweeeeeet :D

Yay all fixed, it was the plugs after all that. The previous owner had advertised the plugs had been changed but obviously not.

Now I gotta get the problem fixed with my forester its throwing a p0171 code system lean on bank one...subaru's you gotta love them :)

you can't physically fit a primary on the secondary side...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
