Recommended Engine Tuners

Hi Guys, i searched for a thread similar to this but couldn't find anything.

I will be needing to get my engine tuned once its been put in and all the bits and pieces added to it. My question for the Clubsub crew is who would you recommend for an engine tune and why? I know there is STM, Shred Motorsport and Garry Capper Motorsport. Im located in WGTN so would prefer somebody in the North Island.

Im admit I am completely biased, but Shred Motorsport.

They have been working on ClubSub cars for quite a while now and know their Subarus That and they offer competitive pricing, let them know I sent you and they will look after you.

From what ive read on the forums from wellington members it seems to be STM or Shred... never used either of them.

Im in Auckland but I highly recommend Garry Capper. Hes based with Possum Bourne motorsports now so they can sort anything you need.

But it is a long way so you would be better with someone closer who you can go back to for advice later

not there is also Keith Stuwards... think thats how u spell his name... hes done a lot of good work my mates car and got good result that is if you lie to him that the internal is forged and he will push it abit more, if not then he will do a safe tune

I think local experience / preferences are for STM if you are doing a re-flash in a V7 upwards (as Shred don't favour that option, and shy away from it most of the time), or Shred if you want a competitively priced Link ECU/tune. Otherwise you can get an ECUTek tune from guys up in Napier, BT can give you their name. Microtech? Well I don't know about that one, they aren't so popular these days.

Cheers for the feedback guys. still have somewhat of a way to go with the engine that i have to get tuned but it is slowly getting there,and have to find another suitable rs(89) chassis to work with.
