Help making bleed valve

Hi,

i was looking at installing a bleed valve because from what I've read so far it's one of the most cost efficient ways to increase

horsepower on turbo cars. Most of the forums I've read said they are pretty easy to put together so I was just wondering if anyone has put together their own or knows how to make one + install?

to be honest most owners here wouldn't bother making one. much more popular are 2nd hand boost taps from trademe or the like.

in saying that, a common theme in problems are old boost taps where either the boost won't hold properly or it was wound right up and the engine is now sad panda.

so really, if you start playing with boost control on a factory setup, you have to be careful and use good quality gear. EBC is more expensive but its my choice. get yourself a decent boost gauge too.

Thanks for the advice. I have ordered a boost gauge so will definitely fit that before. I will probably look at getting

a new one then and getting it professionally installed...I like my engine in one piece! I did however find this on trademe

which sounds more along the lines of what I need so that I can just turn a dial from inside the car to go from normal boost to the

higher boost setting when needed (Evo at the traffic lights). Plus my bank acc. would be a lot healthier with that setup in terms of fuel consumption.

I know the electronic HKS and Blitz boost controllers can be around $600+ but I don't see much difference in features to justify the price difference but if anyone can say they are truly worth the extra money and your not just paying for a brand name then I might consider just saving up and getting one of those and doing the job right the first time.

To be honest with ya...figure out what it runs factory first. My v6 runs 1.2bar factory...thats like 16 or 17 psi. Thats heaps enough on a stock engine AND it gets awesome milage so ive gone off the idea of boost control.

Was good in my old wrx because it had an aftermarket turbo so the factory control was no good so ask yourself...do you really need one.

Will do.

The car won't be stock for long though after working on the full exhaust system incl. new headers will look at fuel system (fuel injectors etc.) and engine.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
