Can't Moon ;/

My moon roof (rear sun roof on a BG GTB) slide wont open and I wanna attach a camera with a sucky thing

yes can open it electrically and passengers can stand/flash bystanders fine

but the slide seems to be stuck fast : I used to be able to slide it back, been forceful/stuck a stick in there but it just wont budge!

any ideas? (trying to avoid removing interior more than I have to/hood lining/fibreglass is s*** to work with)

depends on which roof - many only open and dont slide

From past experience in various cars generally only get stuck because:

a) Cr@p stuck in the rail(s)

b) busted motor (f**king Nissan Safari)

c) gears/belt slipped/etc (Holdens, need I say more)

d) need lube (grease)

The best way is to remove the entire hood lining out the boot (on a wagon) and start poking around

Make sure its closed fully, it won't slide back if its not fully closed

rear of the two : I refer to the front as a sun roof : "moon roofs" by definition (or my interpretation) open right up

My dads bg7 brighton bilstein edition has them aswell. But, if it's not closing all the way, it won't open the cover.

glass is all the way up and it looks like its sealing (exterior)

still cant slide the slide

All the way up? It has a tilt and a slide function ae? Maybe there's a broken clip, get a wire coathanger shape it to something that may clear any debris, or free a stuck clip or whatever

Rails will be f*cked, either need complete replacement or go the fixit route: bog, router and clean...

Write it off, so you can get one with a working sunroof, then buy back the wreck, for engine bits and stuff
