Simple science isn't it ? To evaporate water it needs to turn into steam there fore it needs to be boiling - to dry hair or your "dog" as you call it - your not evaporating a pool of water are you ???

nope but i managed to get it all out by sucking it out with a hose turned the crank by hand a few times not much water came out the exhust port got a heat gun from the oldman and dryed it out. cant see any visible rust but gave it a wee spray of crc and wiped it out

The valves sealing surface will rust with just 1 drop off water on it - the purpose off spraying the crc is to stop it rusting further - So don't be shy with it - but surface rust will burn off when it's running - as long as the engines not left for ever without running

Heard of evaporation cycle? Its quite important (and simple science) and also kinda the reason there's clouds in the sky and I don't see any of the oceans sitting at 100 deg C anytime soon ;)

What you described is boiling yet you can still (slowly) get rid of bodies of water through evaporation which occurs at well below the boiling point.

It's often because of the difference in air and water temperature, It creates a nice wee mist, which then rises, because it has heated from the air temperature, then becomes clouds, then cools down and waters my pumpkins.

Wouldn't it take you ages to evaporate a pool of water - let alone you won't be able to get what's down in the head

Clean metals ( like the valves sealing surface) will rust regardless - if the engine gets going soon it should be fine - I wouldn't want to leave it for say a month +

The genuine Subaru stuff cleans it all up like new with the experiences I've had - but the Mooreys product is probably identical

whats the stuff actually called i wanna kinda flush the engine out im going to put new oil in have got a new oil filter and stuff

With an engine flush you need oil in it - so you could put a cheap oil in it - with engine flush and a filter - rub it for 15 mins and run the cylinder cleaner at the same time - then change oil and filter and use the good oil of your choice

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
