Headunit wiring buggered

Hey guys this is my first post =)

So i am installing sounds into my impreza cs 1996

All the headunit wiring that is there is really crazy and does not match up to the wiring diagram it should have. An Acc wire doesnt exists

I was wondering if you guys knew where a close acc wire is that i could borrow for the headunit, at the moment i just hooked it up so that you can turn the headunit on while the car is not on, but this is a pain

To conclude: Where is an acc wire and what colour is it

check install doctor for vehicle side if it isnt right read the wires on loom you may need a magnifying glass. google the headunit model for wiring diagram and write down what goes to what. easiest way to do it when it varies from diagram. i installed one in a toyota and then halfway through realised it just didnt add up, read the wires and everything was completely different.

i think acc is yellow but its been a coupla years since i had to do one just google it.

I believe yellow with red trace is the ACC wire. If it's not working, check the interior / clock fuse in the engine bay isn't blown.

And I think blue with red trace is the +12v constant power wire. This is from memory, I haven't consulted my notes..

Is the car side big white wiring plug still intact? You can get generic looms that will plug into that plug, then you can chop those up and wire up to your head unit.

Get a multimeter Or at the very least, a test light...

generally yellow on the car side is acc the red is constant.

if the car plug is still on loom get 2 adaptors factory to iso and iso to head deck that way if your head deck shits out later you can upgrade no problem as most head decks come with iso adaptors. or be simple and get the right adaptor. warehouse is your friend

Even the constant in the car wasn't right, but in thinking that i have not checked the fuse, I wired it the same as the headunit that was already there when i could not get it going. Yeah Must be a fuse. I will check fuses and post results thanks
