Whats up with my heater core

Hey guys, got a 98 TS-R legacy.

Anyway, replaced the heater core a month back now, and as soon as I did I could hear air bubbling/gurgling in behind the dash, thought no biggie, the system needs to be bled properly as we did it rather quickly. So one weekend I drained all the coolant and refilled the system (on an up-slope, with the heaters on etc), still the same problem!

After doing this 3 times, last weekend I decided to take the hoses off and flush the heater core (looked fine) and re-filled; still the same noise!

It's really annoying (usually at higher revs so when you start to engine brake etc).

yes, the heater works perfectly, it's not overheating and it's not leaking coolant; but somehow air is either staying in there and not getting out, or it's leaking in but doesn't leak....

its just not bled properly.. has an air pocket in it. wont damage anything or be leaking, just annoying.

yup had same problem on my legacy, never went away after year of owning it and trying to get rid of it

Really, That's good in the sense I don't need to worry about it having a leak as much....

Is there any way in which you can force pressure through the system?

Or just hope it bleeds itself?

johnny where did you get the heater core from? subaru are well expensive and i'm really struggling to find any after market ones

Go to your local radiator place,we get ours for around $300
