Air Intake temps

ive done abit of logging of the iat over last few years usually doing back to back highway pulls or on a rolling road dyno, with the fmic alone it was 12-15degree over ambient. with a 300cc meth nozzle with 50/50 mix it was 8-9degrees over, with 100%meth it was 10-12 degrees now with a 600cc nozzle with 50/50 mix and a external fmic sprayer im getting consistant 5-6degrees over ambient so glad its getting down

If you are running the G4 then there will be no issues with tune versus IAT changes.

This is spray over the outside of the intercooler / radiator that i am referring too..TMIC or FMIC or WAIC front

HOWEVER if you are going to water injection directly into the intake air/manifold then yes retune to suit the mix (water/meth) will be required.

Just trying to clarify the difference in these two "spray" scenarios before one is confused totally by statements.

Not sure if Solja is injecting into intake or spraying the intercooler as meth can and is used in both applications.

Both these methods reduce combustion air temperatures.

Spraying the cooler is easy.....Injecting is very technical and requires careful and knowledgeable tune/setup.

WRC subarus used both....No meth though.

Its ok I do understand the 2 setups, was just thinking about using an internal spray setup but dont like the idea of relying on the meth to stop det, i.e you have your foot up it and get a blockage in the meth tank and bang $10K+ engine gone! so was wondering if a 100% water spray injected into the intercooler would need to be tuned or if it would simply lower the temps enough for a bit of extra cooling without needing the tune to be adjusted.

I've had an answer via PM, yes I can but it can cause a little stutter when the spray first starts

what was ambient?

what brand intercooler and is it bar and plate?

im running an HDi tube and fin and it doesn\'t seem to keep that cool, but my temp sensor is mounted on top of the engine and yours is in front with your manifold flipped

Would need two fans otherwise it wouldnt be balanced. Thats the answer...

Pretty much its not getting heatsoak from logging Ive done so far it was more can it be better with a fan. A fan isnt going to do shit at any sort of speed but two would coz its balanced.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
