who has had success in running yellow injectors on a grey injector ecu?

just curious as I have seen it done on a bf5 gt and seemed to run alright and some people claim that it works and all is well so just want to hear from the people that have actually done / tried it.

they will run fine, but theres not point unless your ecu is tuned for it, my mates old v2 non sti ran them for 3 years before he sold it, your car will just run rich over the whole map and use more fuel but you wont get any extra power unless your running way too much boost and your old injectors were leaning out up top.

but its a pretty rangi way of trying to fix that problem.

if you used something like an SAFC2 you could make use of the bigger injectors however.

what is a SAFC2? people say twin turbos can't be tuned because there maps aren't very simple and the after market ecu's don't understand it or some thing? just trying to make it run abit richer so I don't run too lean and get knock, unless you know of a better way to do it and still be able to keep the greys? as in not spending to much money ect

Do you know that it is actually running lean?

It is going to cause alot more problems than it'll solve. They run fine if you leave the boost alone and keep it well serviced.

i ran yellows on my grey ecu in my trackcar for a year, was a little rich even with the boost wound up a bit. ran fine tho

I know for a fact that it's lean buy the colour of the down and up pipes they are white ish yellow coloured it should be black, the boost is untouched but it has gone up abit with exhaust and vacuum lines ect, what problems would I be looking at?

Run yellows on a grey ecu with no problems. Slight flame pop but better than lean
