V7 Spec C Steering Wheel

Hi all,

I was wondering if the non air bagged v7 spec c has the same steering wheel spline as the v3 sti or legacy?

I am looking for a more stock leather momo wheel to replace the aftermarket one on my spec c and was hoping someone has been here before

same spline from what ive read, but different clock spring, I think I read it can just be repinned on my car (V5) not sure about the earlier ones

Cool thanks for that, were they any other years other than ver3 sti that came with a non air bag momo steering wheel?

yep V1/2 I've got a factory v2 nardi one spare

Or as dumb as this sounds, can I put a v7 sti airbag wheel on? or will it not mount on the spline?

Worded that a bit wrong, what I was meaning was my current non airbag wheel has a bolt though the center to hold it to the sline, where the airbag wheel mounts from two bolts in the side, are the two interchange able?

you could physically swap it. you would fail a wof and risk it blowing up in ur face by mistake. dumb idea imo

Why swap it for something bigger? I found that the smaller wheel added more steering weight, stronger feedback, more agility. The original steering wheel was like driving a Commodore.

The 2 bolts/security screws on the side are to remove the air bag centre section then it will have a normal bolt on the end of the shaft.

I mentioned it to Funky the other day, I've got a V2 stitched leather nardi (same as v3 sti but different badge in the centre) that you can have.

Are the Nardis definitely the same? I swapped the Nardi wheel on my V3 WRX for a Legacy Momo (all non-airbag) and I could swear the momo was a nicer wheel...

this is the nardi ive got, didnt think v3\'s came with momo\'s

my v3 sti came with this, the momo one was airbagged and came from V4 onwards afaik
