OBD2 port on v6 sti?

does v6 sti have obd2 port?

what can be used to scan for codes on it ?

or do u have to do the plug under dash thing?

Beside the bonnet release I think. Or under dash connectors works well.

Edit: I am correct, to the left of the fusebox pocket thing need to poke your head under there to see it.

what is there?

the obd2 connector?? - please do confirm...

i know the J2 ecu is compliant (or was supposed to be compliant with obd) but unsure if the connector was released on the car...

what have ppl used to read it if there is a connector?

Actually yes the OBD2 port is there and you can scan with it I have done with V5 and 2000 P2 foz and no you cant tune with it.

Just plugged in diagnostic scanner like workshops use bro. Have used a $100 repco scanner thing also to read and reset.

was wondering if anyone has used a software to scan it.... using the obd2 cable and a laptop reader..

I have just got a OBD2 to Bluetooth adapter and I use Torque on my android phone works well total cost $50

when I was doing this one of the apps had a windows app as well ( cant remeber which one )

nice so means can be checked via obd... now to find the windows app

You can tune them to a point. Ie adjust timing with parameters etc.

If it is OBD2 then yes I brought a OBD2 to bluetooth adapter from trademe, down loaded TORQUE PRO for the Galaxy S2 ( $5.95) and so far it worked on a 2009 Hiace but no go on an 2000 estima nor a 2005 hiace ( I am guessing toyota didnt use OBD2 protocols till after 2005)

you can get similar software for the iPhone ( ranging from free to $60) and I am sure the blurtooth adapter will work with the iphone, the main software on iOS seems to be DASH COMMAND but it pretty expensive,

also there are various laptop programs that can be linked to either the bluetooth or wifi OBD2 dongles
