For what, 1000rpm?

Haha my thoughts as well

I love me a big comfy legacy as much as anyone but you\'re dreaming if you can drive a (stock) sti then a b4 back to back and say the legacy is quicker in a straight line the majority of the time. The power to weight of both cars is generally the same - a legacy is about the same weight as the average wrx - but the midrange is just chalk and cheese, and then adding the long legged legacy gearbox into it there\'s a big deficit to make up

They *can* go good - mine sits side by side with evos that have high 12 sec slips - but all it takes is one mis timed shift or whatever and it\'s all over, it\'s like VTEC without the economy, and minus the response

On paper the legacy can go good - in the real world you\'re pushing sh1t uphill a bit

agree totally, as a daily driver with some power there fine, i wouldnt own 1 tho after having a TT few years ago, im a single turbo person :P

im not sure it pulls as hard as an sti, my b4 doesnt come close to my wrx in acceleration in any of the ranges, however the legacy primary turbo is smaller then the secondary so yes it should pull harder in the higher revs. I found with the TT there to be quite a lot of lag in the lower rev range, then its a small primary turbo, then theres more lag between the two turbos in the mid range before the second turbo kicks in. Just my thoughts, still a real smooth ride the legacy, you aint bouncing around so much on the highway and nor does it attract the attention of any holden or ford driver (or not as much) as the rex

i was under the impression that both turbos are the same size, just the orientation of the inlet are different, just seems like the secondary is bigger as both are going

This is what I found a few minutes ago (see markys comments below) when I was looking at this forum question, got in my delorean and went back to the future to adjust my answer.

The vf 25 26 and 27 in the majority of b4s are identical primary & secondary, th vf 27 is bb centre, otherwise all three use identical wheels only difference is housings

But yea, I just know with my b4 there was a flat spot and drop in the mid range which was quite annoying. Like it was some old man stopping for a drink stop in a 100 metre sprint.

I just tap the throttle at around 3000rpm like 0.5sec in an 0.5 sec off throttle when about to launch hold throtle down for 1sec which should bump it upto 4500-5000rpm an slip clutch out. Ive tried it with all my setups an never let me down , down the strip big turbos I just added a few more split seconds on for throttle an away I went

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
