idle issue v6 sti with link g4

when warm the car idles fine but when cold starts it hardly idles and keeps turning off

need to keep pressing accelerator to keep alive

have tried adjusting the throttle body but with varying results

seems to run semi ok with the idle solenoid unplugged

are there specific fields to check in the G4 tune for idle (just to rule out any tune issues )

have a feeling it could be the solenoid perhaps...

ok so got cold idle sorted (changed the enrichment values and the idle solenoid % openings a bit)

and adjusted the throttle return a bit to have a stable idle

but issue now is

once car is warm and after a bit of bosting when come to stop at the lights the idle goes up to 2000rpm and refuses to come down

blipping the throttle makes no difference

only restarting the engine gets it settling down to 1000 again

what to do next?

Set your idle lower and adjust you warm up enrichment insted

u mean the target idle values to be lower in the warm coolant range yea/

its 800atm

warm up enrichment

hmm will look at that

lol the G4 is sooo different to the stock ecu lol (i prefer the romraider look of things somehow)

what are ur tables like?

i will try and post the values off mine once i grab the lappy from the car and can compare..

does anything else affect the warm idle on the G4?

Im running a v7 throttle body so my settings are no help.

Get it idling how you want it when its warm.

Then use the warm up enrichment to make it run richer when cold which should make it idle higher without changing the idle settings

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
