Koro I had a harness in Flic before it being caged. You just cant use it on the road. Use the seatbelt on the road, and harness on the track. Get one that simply clips in and out for track use.

Ricky might have something for ya, or trademe. And you will just need to pick up some eye bolts.

Yep, you most certainly can retain the factory seats. I kept my back seats in too. Go and have a look at Craig (NZtintin) car as he has just bought a basic harness for trackdays.

You would want to remove them when you arent at a track day as they would just get in the way. But thats as simple as unclipping them

You can have a 4+ point harness in a car thats used on the road, however you need to have a MSNZ Authority Card to do so.

To get the Authority Card you need to be a member of a MSNZ Affiliated Car Club and hold a Clubsport or higher MSNZ license. Then you can apply for the Authority Card and you will need to get an A grade scrutineer to examine your install to make sure its all ok. So its $30-60 Club membership, $65 Clubsport license and from memory $60 for the Authority Card. And 5mins getting it examined.

However a 5-6 point is a pain to get in and out of in a road car. So much easier to just swap them over when you go to the track.

bro cruise round to my pad one day, the harness is in the car at the moment (cause it aint going anywhere) i can hook you up with one eye bolt that i aquired through a dodgy dealing ;) i got my harness off trade me, just clips in and out, max 5 min job to install includeing pulling out my rear seat.

I left mine in for that proper boyracer look

and they weren't as bad on ya back as I had imagined

probably not good for the seats either...

but basic answer is no - not as a permanent fixture in a road car (without accompanying certificate/cage as outlined above)

you must use the OEM Incident restraint (seatbelt)

No need for a cage... Can use harness with either factory or aftermarket seat too.

surely i cant get a set of harnesses and some eye bolts and install them with out getting scrutinised and/or certed. :-\ if thats the case how does one know how and where one would mount the bolts inparticular.

main reason as to why they cant be used when not on track or msnz event.

The bolts go into factory positions. One replaces the seat base rear bolt on the tunnel and the other replaces where the seatbelt bolts into the bottom of the B pillar. Then underneath the rear seat they go into where the back seat bolts into, and one of the seatbelt spots :)

And when you go to events they do check your belts are up to spec :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
