Secondaries keep popping in a rev d

So, met a couple with a rev d, which it keeps popping secondaries(their car actually blew the secondary for the 3rd time coming up the hope saddle) I know it will be something other than the secondary causing issues; something in the \'zaust or inlet? Anyone come accross something like this, they had said another time it blew on the desert road when they hit a bump(obviously something fell into it). They took it to subaru(not sure where), got it \'running fine\'.

Really interested into what may have caused this catastrophe.

lol . hit a bump and it blew a turbo . took it to the shop and they got it "running fine" ::)

have they actually replaced the turbo twice ?

think this car has a meat ware issue aswell .

how have you diagonoised blown seondary turbo ? no boost after 4.5k rpm but fine before ?

Yeah; They\'ve had it replaced twice in 2 weeks.

Losing power in fourth, though this time It\'s just smoking like s***, so probably more than just the secondary.

I haven\'t had a look; too dark, they\'ve got a mate coming to trailer it back to westport;

Just wondering if anyone\'s had these kinds of issues; with a rev d.

Running fine but considering the car blew again,obviously not.

Doesn\'t make sense to me either; They haven\'t had a look yet; could be primary; they assumed it was the secondary because that\'s what\'s popped recently.

I haven\'t had a look; Was just throwing something on here to see if anyone\'s had issues like this, with a rev d.

Need more info before even attempting to diagnose what the go is

Smoke generally a bad sign though

Secondary being dead will not cause power loss unless you\'re fanging it - in 4th would mean 150kph plus

Rev ds run the vf31/2 and 33, and are the least likely of all to die like the old ones do

Someone is being taken for a ride by the sounds of it

My secondary is nackered and I can blow air through it from inlet to downpipe, can do the same with an old ct20 turbo I\'ve got, a blocked oil return bango filter/mesh could be causing oil to flow straight into the downpipe causing the smoking? See if there\'s oil in the downpipe and excessive oil in the turbo to TMIC pipe?

you know turbos dont actually have seals a such . . if you looked inside one you wouldnt be surprised if you could blow air through it . how much air is another matter

Yeah I know, shouldn\'t happen. My CT20 with about 2mm shaft play I can almost breath through the shaft/bearing assembly. My current/fitted VF27 (201,000kms)I can seal the inlet put a compressor to it and hear air hissing out into the downpipe. My replacement VF27 (90,000kms) I can just, only just get air through it.

My only semi plausible explanation is worn out front and rear oil seals and undersized worn bearings, or maybe lack of oil in the floating bearing assembly or cracked housing???

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
