version 2 wrx sti

hi guys

I am picking up a v2 on the weekend, just wanted to double check some things,

1st: only the sti has water spray on the intercooler not the wrx?

2nd: the badge in the front is not pink is that weird? they are black or grey.

3rd: the intercooler itself is meant to be silver not black for a sti?

4th: what colour and design should the seats be?

I am just trying to work out what parts are original and what have been changed

Either way I am looking forward to have another sti

Looks genuine to me minus the front emblem which could mean possible frontal accident? should boost 12psi

Should have small sti embossed into steering wheel leather on the lower pillar bit.

Only real way to tell is the subaru plate on the car

yep, nice example of a V2 STI

looks like the later C2 model unless its been painted

its just missing the fog light covers, which adds another point to the accident theory.

personally, i would fit a working factory blow off valve and spend a day pulling the intercooler fins straight.

2 not really important. could have been pinched and replaced

3 silver = sti. also has alloy & blue silicone pipe between turbo/intercooler

4 just like that.

, I am very interested to either get spotlights or a the covers.

If its had an accident should I worry? carjam has no record of a crash etc.

With the covers if I find some, will they just slot in or do I need to get something fabricated?

What about if I decide to go with the spotlight look?

there should be metal fixing plates behind the plastic holes in the bumper. the bulbs have a plastic surround that screw into this. kinda like car speakers.

the covers attach to the same point, but are extended by some simple metal brackets. 3 fixings per side. you might have to make these up, someone may be able to measure them for you to get the correct mounting distance
