P1306 error code

this code is on the v7-v10 OBD2 cars (and the related legacy and foresters that fall in that category)

it is specific to AVCS equipped cars only

its not a common code but its pretty much a PIA and involves a lot of tracking around the loom/oil control solenoid

basically start on the pins of the OCV and trace continuity from there to ecu

also, open oil banjo bolt and see if the little filter has dislodged and stuck (best to remove while u there)

wiring:

avcs solenoid - plug e37/38

goes to b21 plug by battery

then to ecu -

b84 plug

pin e17/16 e6/12 (the left and right pair)

also manually power the solenoid and see if it moves as a dead solenoid will give same issue

while logging the issue:

you will notice the avcs advanced will be mostly static and only moved few degrees from accelerating from idle to near redline back to idle (normally moved from low to max and back when doing that)

also the learning will be stuck to IAM=8

and lastly the OCV current will be static (being a break in the circuit)

--

ok another thing that can happen to the AVCS OCV is that one side filter can fall off from the oil banjo and get stuck on the solenoid and fix it to a particular angle

this can be seen in the logging as a stuck avcs angle

also if one side is stuck at say 25edeg and the other is normal say 0deg at idle, the car will sound like lumpy cams

this does not really give of a code as the ecu sees the solenoid sink current etc

--

mods: sticky this please

His one was the cam sensor wire code but yea strange how only 1 wire in loom broke

Tends to happen when about 7 different garages monkey with your engine bay and then you go full boost rape it down the motorway

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
